New fish & chips place. Yummy battered fish just the right amount and crunchy. Yummy onions, calermari, and salt & peppers squid. If you want grilled fish just asked for plain, no batter on base. It’s sweet if you like it it’s OK.
Place is clean, girl that served me was lovely. She was very helpful in directing me to where the fridge was to get my drink. Cost of food is going up so no matter where you go the price is going to be very different to what we paid back in the day!!! My only complaint would be the lack of salt on my food, like none at all. I will go back as the way they cooked the fish was perfect. Batter was delicious. One of the reviews mentioned water captured under the batter, this happened to me with my scallop and I burnt my chin, I’ll be mindful of this next time.
Clean fish and chip shop and I enjoyed my Grilled Fish and 4 Large Grilled Scallops (they were very large). Whilst I asked for grilled fish & chips shops (these days) still coat it which I would describe as a very thin almost pancake like coating. I still enjoyed my lunch except for the chips. I don’t like my chips to look almost neon yellow so the
Oil they use is a fail by me. They lose 2 stars for their chips – after all it is a Fish & Chip shop. Too many fish & chips shops don’t put any effort into their chips these days!
One more thing is I think it is a sign of seafood freshness when you can get grilled scallops as most of the f&c shops in Melton say they can’t do grilled – go figure!
This order cost $28.
The woman that works here makes the best souvlaki! She’s amazing! And the shop is very generous with their serving size! I would say it’s the best fish and chips in Melton’s surrounding suburbs
Absolutely 💩💩💩their prices are ridiculous and portions are just a money grabbing rip off!!! Bring back TJ’s. Their food does not match their prices!!! Never going there again, chips below $5:50 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Check you receipts when buying, advertising Barramundi for $11 then charge $11.50, tomato sauce $1 at most places for a little tub charged $1.80. They weren’t happy when I mentioned the difference in prices
Ordered medium chips and seriously not even enough to feed my family and it costed $7.40! Literally enough for two teenagers everything else is fine but seriously the prices are ridiculous nice people tho
Delicious potato cakes!! Very generous with their portions. Always our first choice for fish and chips.
