I recently visited The Gully Fish Shop, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The portions were generous, leaving me fully satisfied, and the taste was exceptional. From the first bite, I could tell that the ingredients were fresh and the flavors were expertly balanced. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Chips left quite a bit to be desired. They were overcooked I thought or old oil maybe. The fish was fine. Prices were standard for this sort of food. Friendly staff.
I visited this fish and chip shop on a weekly basis I haven’t been here for 6 months I walked in and was very happy the original owner was still there
But after i opened the wrapping at the park
Everything was really fatty and burnt
Chips were disgusting I recommend this shop in the past Please cook and present the fish and chips like you did in the day You’re destroying your legacy And the shop and where you cook the food looked really dirty and old 😢
Service was really terrible. Food was okay though. Not great but not the worst!
Chips are the worst I’ve EVER had. Cooked to hell, dry as a dead dogs nose and the fish wasn’t much better. Avoid. At least until they get the message that they need to cook edible food.
When I say this is the best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten, I don’t say that lightly. Multiple times I’ve been here and tried different items, always tasty, always great service and friendly smiles, always happy to return. Hands down if I’m in Ferntree Gully or even the area this is the shop I’m coming to for a great feed, still at a great price. Thank you Gully Fish Shop
Was going to order from here on Friday night.
I parked my car and got out just to be yelled at by a female staff member about how I needed to move my car because it was for customers only (I was planning on walking in and becoming a customer)
There’s actually zero signage saying certain car parks are for their customers only…it’s all public parking for whoever wants to use it.
She had no way of knowing if I was a customer or not.
As I was getting in my car after decided I wasn’t going to give her my business, I saw her yell at 2 other people for parking their car in a public car park 😂 unsure if she just unaware of how public car parks work, or if she thinks she’s entitled to yell at people for using them…either way what a horrible way to treat people.
Will never be buying from them as their staff are incredibly rude and….dim.
Unfortunately after seeing a female staff member scream at people for using a public car park, I won’t be giving them anymore of my business.
If they really want customer only parking, they need to sort this out with council, not scream and yell at people until they move the car….wow.
Very immature, unprofessional and rude.
