Fish, pizza and calamari are good. We just disappointed with the chips. We ordered large chips as kids usually love it and ended up in the bin. Plain taste and not crunchy. This shop has a lot of takeaway as we can see. Other good thing is easy parking on the street.
Located near Sovereign Hill, this is the best Fish n Chip we had for a long time. Friendly staff over the counter. Ordered a family pack and a large BBQ pizza. The butter fish is fresh, batter is cooked to prefection. The fries are crunchy. Pizza is awesome. Definitely recommended!
First meal after reaching Ballarat.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Very patient in explaining the menu to us.
Do all their best to keep us comfortable.
Used to be our go to, think its time to find somewhere bew. Last 3 phone orders they have got wrong, always missing something, chips are slowly getting worse and ask for chicken salt and there never seems to be salt on at all. Really starting to lack in quality. Location is convenient but I think its time to start trying somewhere new. Only consistent thing is the nuggets.
My husband and I are both sick with food poisoning from ordering chips and gravy from here last night. I ordered a tub of gravy, it was cold. It hadn’t been heated up properly so I microwaved it. Our children luckily didn’t have the gravy and were ok. My theory is that the gravy was left over from the Sunday as they weren’t open Monday and was stored and reused Tuesday. Who knows if it was covered or not but it was definitely contaminated. We have definitely noticed a difference in the quality of the food from here over the last couple of months. We will not be back. You have cost us income losses as my husband is too sick to go to work.
To be honest, I wasnt expecting much when we arrived but was pleasantly surprised with a really generous portion of fish that was fresh and more than half decent. Service is a little slow but not so slow to make you cranky.
Fish and chips are fresh and crispy.
Portion is generous and staff are friendly.
Will definitely come back!
We ordered the Twin Pack. One of the best fish and chips my partner and I have had in a long time. The fish was so thick and literally melted in your mouth. I had the grilled fish and he had the battered — the batter was some of the best I’ve ever had. You can tell they use fresh oil and drain it properly, as it wasn’t oily at all.
Such a pleasant surprise — we would definitely recommend and will be back again.
