Holy moly. The moistness of the flake. The crunch of the chips. This place is honestly the best fish and chips store in victoria. We are blessed to have this establishment. Seriously, try this place out, they have never messed up an order
Wish I could show photos but the food was so yummy I ate it first. Great burgers with the lot. So good! The surprise was it was served on beautiful Turkish bread instead of the traditional bun. Next up I ordered 5 potato cakes. They generously gave 7. Crispy and lovely texture. Finally, the chips were tasty and golden brown and not oily ( I added my own salt to taste when I got home). Friendly and efficient counter service- smiling even when flat out busy. Very well organised team-work. Haven’t been here for some time, surprisingly good. Highly recommended from this Heathmont local.🙂
My favourite gluten free fish & chip shop. Bit into my fish & actually groaned with pleasure! The g/f batter was light & crispy, the fish was tender, the oil was fresh & my meal was delicious. And the true test, no fishy smells in the shop. Thanks so much. Very impressed with how efficient & polite, the boy taking orders is.
It would have been 5 stars if the chicken salt wasn’t forgotten twice in a row, even after pointing out to the young lady at the front counter that they forgot the first time the response was, they must have been new in the kitchen last time… well this time I was looking at the older gentleman who finished the order had a look like he didn’t care too much and sure enough no chicken salt, the loss of star is because front counter could have informed them and the back kitchen clearly doesn’t care to read the order.

Always a nice lunch or dinner. Love the Special for One pack. Increased prices however inflation and cost of living so understand why. Thanks to all the staff for yummy fast fish and chips. I want to try the bacon and egg roll someday.
What a burger! Should have got a photo but I just inhaled it before I got the chance. Love the bread they use, fish tasted fresh and was grilled very nice. Would be nice if they gave a bit of lemon to squeeze on (usually don’t have to ask), but still delicious. Potato cakes are crispyyyy. Probably the best fish and chips in the area 🤩
When we have ordered from here there has normally been no issues, however tonights circumstances were different. When picking up our order we found out that they had given our order to someone else. Now usually running a busy takeway shop where people will have the same name I there would be an appropriate system in place to ensure this does not happen especially being a small business I gather you would want to keep customers not lose them. No apology or any other forms of great customer service was offered which is appalling if you want to keep customers coming back. All that was offred wss for the food to be remade and told to wait another half an hour how ridiculous. Maybe in the future you could get a system in place to prevent orders being handed out to the wrong people.

Thought we would try as a local. It was terrible!
The food is not fresh and oil is extremely dirty.
Meat in the Sth Melb Diim Sim was off and stunk. Greek Salad not fresh days old . Potato Cakes wear under sized dripping with thick sludgy grease and were days old.
Overall, everything fried just tasted like dirty sludgy oil and left a horrible taste in my mouth and a painful stomach.
When called to advise no apologies, no change of meal or even a refund offered. So disappointing!
