Great food – some of the best fish and chips.
We come and order from you guys when we visit our grandparents in Heidelberg. I’ve tried a few fish and chip shops local, and by far, Waterdale Rd Fish and Chips surpasses them all in quality.
Only issue is that sometimes the chips are gross, that usually comes down to the oil needing to be changed more frequently. Watch the colour of the chips, as this will determine the oil quality.
However, their food is usually always great. Their flakes, burgers, calamari, etc, has always been on-point.
The free drink with every minimum spend is amazing, no other business does that. You guys stand out above the rest for such a simple offering. Keep it up! It’s unique, and is a great customer-focused idea.
Best fish n chips in the area! Very lovely staff/owners. The potato cakes were so nice and crispy, cooked perfect.
Ordered from here, the flake was very dry and not very pleasant. The burger was kinda mid and the chips were kinda plain even though we asked for chicken salt.The potato cakes weren’t bad though.
The main thing is they have a lot of dinner and value packs which makes it at a little more affordable than some.
Honestly not the worst fish and chips in the area (easily) but nothing mind blowing.

I have just eaten the most delicious Hamburger with the lot, that I have eaten in more than 20 years!! “EXCELLENT” doesn’t do it justice. PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!!!
Perfect potato cakes: soft moreish potato, crunchy, salty, piping hot. Grilled Barramundi was also perfect: a savoury thin pancake like coating (delicious!), moist, piping hot.
Super friendly, clean & tidy place, & gave me an extra potato cake even though I had a very small order! When i’m in the area again I’ll definitely be going back!
