I bought the lunch pack + a sav in batter (saveloy in batter) for $22.20. On average, you could spend $10-20 for the average person.
The battered sav was my favourite of the order 😍 the batter to sav ratio was pretty much perfect for my taste👌 not too much and not too little.
The fish was really good too, batter to fish ratio was on point, you could taste the fish rather than just a mouthful of batter and the fish wasn’t mushy either.
The potato cakes were a bit thin, mostly batter but still a nice and crunchy texture.
This place is also good value for what you pay for. There were a decent amount of chips and the size of all extras like the flake and potato cakes were generous too.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone in the area 👌
Ruby also owns the fruit and veg shop a couple doors down which has just recently opened so make sure to check it out if you’re around!
amazing fish and chippery, very friendly family owned business always making everyone feel welcomed, they have great fair pricing and make a deadly flake and potato cakes as a big recommendation. Great menu options all around with a lot to get, very clean shop and their kitchen isn’t messy it’s a great place to walk into love the work ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. place is booming friday nights and they make it a short wait!
First of all I want to say Thank you so much to the lovely lady that served me today, customer service was on point. So welcoming and very easy to communicate with. I’m pretty sure she was the owner. I’m from Wyndham Vale so the only reason why I had visited this store was because I was in the area and it was the closest one to me however I can 100% tell you now that out of the few stores that came up on google I am so happy that this is the one I came to. This store brought back memories of what it was like back in the days when you would go to the beach and order fish and chips for lunch. Everything was cooked perfectly. The chips were the kind of chips you eat and can’t stop eating because there so good and the fish was perfect. Not too much batter. Nowadays it’s so hard to find a good fish and chips shop but this place definitely hit the spot for me. Will definitely recommend to anyone and everyone. Thank you so much to the lady that served me today and was also kind enough to let my daughter have a drink with no charge. Your service and food definitely made my day today!
Just horrible, burger with the lot doesn’t have – bacon, beetroot, pineapple – unsure how it’s a burger with the lot! Anyways, calamari $2.20 per unit – literally hard as a rock, fish dry & rubbery. Order total – $59.
Best fish n chips i have had in a long time. We live around the corner and this shop has become our new favourite.
Friendly staff and very professional.
Best feed of fish and chips going around. The minimum chips was amazing not a pitiful handful like some shops. Fish was beautiful, potato cakes were delicious. Our new favourite fish and chip shop and will not go anywhere else.
Though the price has climbed throughout the years, like everywhere else haha, this place remains a staple of my childhood fish n chip shop. It’s still great quality tho is pricey.
Decent fish and chips. Generous serving of minimum chips and flake was great too. Although, not very welcoming nor friendly younger woman with glasses…
