About
Mornington Park Fish & Chips is a well-regarded fish and chip shop tucked away on a side street in Mornington, just a short walk from the pier. With a strong reputation built on over two hundred reviews, it draws a loyal crowd who keep coming back for the crispy battered fish and golden chips that the kitchen turns out consistently.
The menu centres on the classics done well. Fresh flake is a firm favourite, and the homemade potato cakes earn special mention from regulars, praised for their texture and flavour. Chips arrive golden and well-seasoned, and serving sizes are generous enough that the shop is widely regarded as excellent value compared to venues closer to the main strip. Prawns also feature, and the broader menu is built to suit families, with a kids’ menu available for younger diners.
The team behind the counter is known for friendly, efficient service that keeps things moving even during busy periods. Both dine-in and takeaway are available, making it a practical choice for families settling in for a meal or visitors grabbing a feed to take down to the waterfront.

Probably the best prices going around in this economy.

Let the image speak for the food.
A little known hidden treasure hidden away in a side street in Mornington is this magnificent fish and chip shop!! My wife has a medical condition with her esophagus, so can only eat soft foods. Potatoes happens to be one of them!! To say that she is Melbourne’s Potato queen leaves me feeling somewhat overwhelmingly understated!! Plus I just looove fish and chips! We live in Cranbourne, so driving 40 minutes to bask in fish and chip glory is an absolute no brainer!!!
FYI: Gippsland sebago Potatoes ate the best Potatoes on planet earth!
I know I just upset quite a few Irishmen then! If it helps, my great grandad, pop O’brien was Irish!! Sorry guys!!
Excellent fish and chips. Just away from the pier and beach – but worth picking up here to take down to the water.
Perfectly crispy batter on the fish and golden chips. Great value compared to the main drag.
The shop and fryer were immaculately clean – highly recommended!

Finally tried out one of the best fish n chips establishment that I’ve been hearing about. Very clean premises and old school feel to it. Had flake and potato cakes lightly salted with chicken salt. They were large and thick pieces that tasted perfect. Will definitely be returning to try out more of the menu in the near future 👌
The best fish and chips you can get anywhere. The fish is absalutley massive and so delicious, amazing chips, so nice not the have fluorescent chips.
Fresh and delicious! We ordered too many chips at that time. The clerk showed us how much it was and suggested that we order less. She is right. We even didn‘t finish that! The food is very delicious. I will come again.
