This is a real old school fish n chip shop. They still make their own chips and potato cakes and fry them in solid fat 😋. The burgers and souvlaki are also spot on. Unfortunately there are not many shops left like this little gem anymore. This is why I highly recommend Well St fish n chips.
I was visiting down from Melbourne, and my dad recommended this place as they make their own potato cakes, and their chips are also homemade they don’t use frozen fries. It tastes incredible and so fresh, and hands down the best fish and chip shop in Morwell and even compared to all the ones I’ve tried in Melbourne. Also I haven’t been able to have potato cakes in years due to my allergy to egg, but the owner makes them with only flour and water. Also very cheap, great quality and value.
Very nice real gummy shark not that frozen imported rubbish that doesnt bend. Dimmies were perfect chips great. Scallops and crabsticks very nice
The photos speak for themselves. The soggiest chips I have ever had in my life, disgusting. So much oil the paper was see through and the chips were hardly cooked. How this place has a 4.5 star rating is beyond me but don’t trust it.
The worst fish and chips ever. And had to wait over 20 minutes for crap food. Chips were gray. Wouldn’t recommend at all

Chips were raw, absolute disgusting. Thought we would give it another try after bad past experiences but will never waste my money there again.
