Really enjoyed the fish and chips here! The reviews did not let me down. Got a great portion for 2, the flake is massive, dim sims and potato cakes are also on point. Salted Crispy chips and enjoyed the salad.
I have found my new favourite fish and chips spot. Not much of a reviewer but it certainly hits all my marks for me, great service and lightly fried crispy fried not too oily battered fish. We got the whiting and grenadier and the portion was just perfect.
Staff are great. Location nostalgic. Portion size is great but price is high. Fish was perfect, chips not hand cut but typical frozen catering product. Potato cakes were however extremely oily and I couldn’t eat. Even got a bonus one. Sadly price to quality lets the food stars down.
Best fish and chips we have ever had. Super fresh fish, shrimp cooked fried or grilled. All done to perfection. King George Whiting was our favourite. We had a second order of King George Whiting, grilled prawns, crumbled prawns, fried prawns, scallops to add more to our plates because we enjoyed the first order so much. Very reasonable prices, low for this level of quality. We visited when it was raining so was pleasantly delighted to find it quiet.
It’s been a few years since I’ve been here last. It’s changed a few owners since then. Since our local place was closed for the Christmas break, I decided to back and check it out as the Mrs had gotten sick a few times from the previous owner. From first looking at the food before eating, I first thought they need to change the Oil as the colour was tooo dark. The food average. We had bought a grilled fish souvlaki for the Mrs, she advised C that there was only sauce based at the end of it and not all the way through, mum and I had a grill flake and a fried flake. We also ordered sweet potato chips but there was not really slot of them, a couple of potato cakes and steamed & fried dimsims. We were dissapointed at the end of it.
I wanted quality.. Google reviews were positive.. We have 3 closer fish n chip shops in my area but have been disappointed in the past.. Quality of flake was superb, moist a generous portion and crispy batter. Potato cake was a nice surprise as it was a decent thickness and nicely battered as well. Friendly staff you can dine in and there is outdoor seating overlooking Waverley Park. We will definitely come here again. Highly recommend!
