About
Paradise Fish & Chips is a popular takeaway and delivery spot in Ringwood, Victoria, serving up fresh, hot fish and chips at prices that won’t break the budget. The chips are consistently noted for being light and non-greasy, and the fish, including flake, is praised for its freshness. Potato cakes and fried or steamed dim sims round out the classic menu, alongside burgers and lamb souvlaki for those after something different.
The family running the shop are well known to their regulars, greeting many customers by name and making first-timers feel just as welcome. Service is quick and friendly, and the experience of picking up a parcel wrapped in butcher’s paper is very much alive here. Families are particularly well catered for, with staff going out of their way to make younger visitors feel at home.
Orders are available for takeaway or delivery, and free street parking plus wheelchair-accessible parking make the shop easy to reach. The shop draws visitors from well outside Ringwood, with some regulars making the trip from neighbouring suburbs just for a feed. Open Tuesday through Sunday from the afternoon into the evening, with slightly extended hours on Fridays.

My favourite local fish and chip shop run by a really friendly and hardworking family. The fish is particularly fresh, and you can expect prompt service and the classic experience of having your fish and chips wrapped up in butcher’s paper.
Best fish and Chip shop in Ringwood. Great food, best potato cakes around. The family that run it are just beautiful, so friendly and know most of their customers by name.
The food was fresh and great it was my first time here and it was the best fish and chips shop I’ve ever been to I recommend the lamb souvlaki 10/10 and the employees were wonderful to me and my children and even gave us a free drink definitely coming again
Went to buy some fish and chips today at 12.30pm – sign on door said open 12pm-3pm Easter Sunday! They were closed .
We went to another one in Nth Ringwood which was awesome!
Best fish and chips in my area. Traveled from Vermont bc none in my area are as good. Burgers have a great flavour and fried food isn’t too oily. Only issue is patties are very thin and bacon was a bit too crunchy. Still great and will be returning
Fantastic food topped by even better friendly service! The family at Paradise Fish and Chips do a great job of looking after their customers and the food was fresh and good quality. Young man who took my phone order was the most enthusiastic and friendly person I have dealt with in a long time, and was great and his job! Will be only going here from now on 🙂
Hopefully these owners take on board this feedback because this was seriously the worst fish and chips we have ever had, as well as being overpriced. Grilled flake ($14) was small, dry and super over-cooked. Cheeseburger was honestly the worst I’ve had in years. Meat was cheap, thin and rubbery. Potato cakes were not edible, old and seemed to be recooked too many times. Just awful. We never complain but feel really disappointed.
Absolutely amazing food! They have the best lamb souvlaki’s and hamburgers. Chips are a good size and there’s always extra food in my order. Love this place and definitely recommend!
