About
Seabrook Fish & Chips has built a strong following in Melbourne’s north-western suburbs, and with well over four and a half stars across nearly a thousand reviews, it’s easy to see why locals keep coming back. The fish and chips here are the real deal, with blue grenadier and flake prepared in a batter that regulars describe as perfectly crisp without being heavy, and fish that stays juicy and generous in portion. The chips are home-cut, crunchy on the outside and fluffy through the middle, and the kitchen is known for using clean oil so nothing comes out greasy.
The potato cakes are a standout item in their own right. Thick-cut slices, crisp edges, soft centres and full of flavour, they’ve earned their place as a signature alongside the blue grenadier. Calamari also features on the menu, rounding out a solid range of classic fish and chip shop fare. Extras are often included at no charge, which is a small touch regulars appreciate.
The shop offers dine-in, takeaway, and delivery, making it flexible for families, quick solo lunches, or a relaxed sit-down meal. A kids’ menu is available, and service is noted for being friendly and welcoming. Free parking on site adds to the convenience. For anyone searching for quality fish and chips in Seabrook or the surrounding area, this one is hard to overlook.

Having the best time at dinner — and oh my, it’s so good!
The fish and chips are seriously next-level: the batter is perfectly done — not too thick, crazy crispy, and the fish inside? One of the best I’ve ever had!
We also added on the prawns, and let me tell you, it’s the ultimate snack upgrade.
Pro tip: do yourself a flavour (yes, you read that right) and definitely get the prawns when you visit!
Oh, and surprise — they even gave us free fried potatoes as a bonus treat. And guess what? They were super tasty too!
Already dreaming about the next visit!
Hands down the best fish and chips I’ve had! The fish is fresh, the chips are perfectly cooked, and the potato cakes are unreal crispy outside, soft inside, and full of flavour. You can tell they use clean oil, nothing tastes greasy. The owners are great people, Would 100% recommend this place!
Don’t look past this local fish n chip shop if you’re in the area!
Everything was so fresh and crispy. The potato cakes had thick slices of potato and the fish was super juicy and generous serving sizes.
Quick service with a smile!
10/10 The best fishing chips I have ever had. After hearing about this place and reading through reviews it did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and were happy to take me through the kitchen and show me the fresh produce. The fish was cooked perfectly flaky, tender and moist. The batter was light and airy. Calamari were cooked to absolute perfection like they were freshly caught. The oil was clean and nothing tasted burnt or bitter. They even throw in a lot of extras for free. The burgers are very oldschool and full of flavour. I don’t understand the negative reviews. Probably the best in Victoria
We stumbled across Seabrook Fish and Chips while checking out locate fish & chip venues on YouTube, and we’re so glad we did. The blue grenadier was beautifully moist and sweet, the massive home-cut potato cakes were delicious, and the fresh calamari was spot on. And last but not least—the chips! Crunchy on the outside, and soft and fluffy on the inside. Fantastic all around. The service was fantastic too! We’ll definitely be back!
Have to say the fish and chips here are elite. Tried them for the first time recently after friend suggested give it a go. The potato cakes are unmatched by any other place I’ve been. Hands down everything I tried from Flake, potato cakes, hamburger in batter, chips were delicious. 5/5 100% guaranteed everytime
The best fish and chips in the area. So generous and clean!!! Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Would recommend this place 10000%
Sadly as you will see in the picture we just had 3 pieces of shark and $6 chips. The chips were so under cooked they were not at all edible. Not sure if the fish was cooked either. In Australia, I have never seen their equal.
