What a lovely little place with a huge menu and very feasible price in the city of Warrnambool! We went for grilled Butterfish and Blue Grenedier with small chips and chicken dim sim. Chips were crispy outside and outstanding with chicken salt and fish was fresh and good too. Dim sim were nice and crunchy outside. Not enough space for dine in for a huge group however a big local group were still managing their lunch there. We did take away as it was cold for us and we stayed very close by.
I would definitely recommend this place.
Had a family pack fish and chip here. Food serving was massive for the price. Chips were crispy, not oily and seasoned well. The batter for the flake and chip was light and airy. Dimsims seemed like it was steamed and then fried. Not too sure. Looked a bit too white looking for me lol. Service was great. We ate there but she offered us a bag, cutlery and even paper cups. It’s not very extraordinary food but it was done good enough. No real complaints. This is my 2nd time here. First time I had the chinese food (sweet and sour/fried rice etc). I do not recommend it at all. Just not great. If you do come here, stick to ordering kebabs, burger or the fish/chips.
Husband had gluten free flathead and a pineapple fritter. He hasn’t had battered fish for years. He was very pleased. The chips were very yellow, though a little too oily and soggy in my opinion, but were otherwise tasty enough.
Family’s fish and chips have a huge variety of food past the standard fish and chips. We love their lamb souvlaki, fried stuff can be a bit oily at times but that’s fried food for you. Give their dumplings a go you won’t be disappointed. Still loads on their menu we haven’t tried but would recommend giving them a try if you haven’t already.
Excellent fish and chips cooked in fresh vegetable oil. Gluten free too options which aren’t overpriced. Friendly staff. Deserves 5 stars!
Generous portions and tasty fish and chips. Well priced too.
Offering coeliac friendly gluten free fish and chips is NOT easy but it is super appreciated by those of us who can’t eat at most places.
Giving 2 stars because the food was actually great. It was a shame about the shocking service. Waited at the counter to be served for ages. The had to wait 40 mins for food but only 5 orders went out in the time I had to wait. Phone orders were told food would be ready in 15 mins. Very very slow. Happy to wait if it was busy but it just wasn’t
The older lady was just yelling the whole time that made it the most unpleasant experience to sit and wait. I was starting to get anxiety while
I waited.
There seemed to be no system or process from ordering to handing over food
Best fish and chips in Warrnambool. Amazing quality, price, and service. Delicious!
