Travelled from Geelong and decided to try this shop at Warnambool. Hands down the one of the best fish & chips in regional Vic. The owner was friendly and provided some great recommendations. Fish was fresh, batter had a nice crunch and just the right good seasoning. Also tried their potato cake, squids and prawns too which were equally delicious. Definitely worth a stop.
found this Chippy purely by accident, and I’ve been back often since. The chips are A1, fried fish is pretty good with crispy batter. That’s all I’ve had here, but it’s all I want. The service is prompt and friendly, especially if you’re friendly to kick off.. two criticism if the owners is reading this, dont have a server who wears a facemask (happened once), in my opinion it doesnt give off a good vibe, and you would definatly do yourself and your image a massive good turn if you tidy up te palce and give it a lick of paint. Your food is excellent, and you should shout that out by creating a similar impression with your shop.
I would have to be desperate to try here again.
Unfortunately we found everything quite disappointing here.
The grilled flake was ok, but very dry. The Lamb souvlaki was incredibly oily. Fried dim sims seemed ok, and whilst the chips and potato cakes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, they retained WAY too much oil so we ended up throwing most of them out.
This place has the best fish and chips we have tasted! Chips crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and the perfect chippy flavour. Fish crispy on the outside and buttery inside. Potato cakes and calamari were amazing too. The owner was lovely and so accommodating. The location isn’t on the busy strip in Warrnambool but worth the trip for this meal!

We were really hopeful after seeing the positive Google reviews, but our visit was unfortunately disappointing. The person who served us didn’t seem very friendly or welcoming, which set the tone. The food itself was quite greasy and overcooked. The whole place feels like it needs some care put back into it — from the atmosphere to the food and the service.
