Decided to have fish n chips for tea tonight. Very disappointed. My fish was tough, had no taste definitely not fresh and the color was grey and the chips tasted like they were the frozen ones. Normally the food is ok but not this time. As they say fresh is best.
Saturday 23rd sept 2023. 1pm. Shop was empty so I was the only customer. I ordered flake, a minimum of chips, 4 potato cakes and 4 fried dim sims. I got home and the dim sims are so undercooked they are almost like jelly, the potato cakes were Luke warm and the flake was undercooked also. Threw the entire thing out.. never have I had such undercooked food.

Bit disappointed with tonights food to overcooked. wasted my break going there won’t do it again
tried ringing no answer.
Went there tonight left with an order they charged me for even questioning the older woman servicing me who took the order and charged me for that order as she and the other woman seemed very confused about what they were cooking and putting together the orders yes little busy but not full noise
I get home no cray sticks 2 off and no potatoe cakes made a call said I was on my way back there to get an order replaced as the rest would be cold and soggy if they only replaced what was missing then got told there’s nothing wrong with your hamburger I’m not getting a replacement
Frustrated as then who pays for time and fuel for your shops stuff up got a complete refund with hesitation then went elsewhere to get a complete and fresh order never going back they have no idea
The blue grenadier was overcooked and/or old as. Instead on the white soft flakey texture you’d expect; it was yellow, hard/chewy and flavorless. Couldn’t finish it. Really dissapointing.
Everything else was actually really good, the dimmies, chips and potato cakes were all fine, bit of a shame.
Ordered a grilled flake. Over cooked and rubbery texture or old stock. Had to try and carve through it. Couldn’t eat more than 2 bites as I thought it might make me sick. Fried fish, potato cakes and dim sims were good. Wouldn’t visit again.
Classic fish and chips! I have been looking for ages for just this. Heaps of chips.. n burgers n potato cakes n that 😁
