Nowhere in Australia does fish and chips 🍟 as well as Victoria. Racecourse Fish and Chips is a shining example of how to do it. We will definitely be back before we head home.
This was my second time trying Racecourse Fish and Chips, with my first visit just a couple of weeks ago. While the fish is fresh, both times it was extremely greasy and not well drained. After my first visit, I assumed it might have just been a one-off, given the positive reviews. Unfortunately, my second order was much the same. I’d suggest taking a bit more time to drain the food properly — it would make a big difference to the overall quality and experience.
I placed my order online as I had my kids in the car, then called to confirm it went through. I mentioned that I was parked out the front with the kids, and the staff member happily brought my order out to me so I didn’t have to get them out of the car. The service was very quick, the customer service was amazing, and the food was absolutely beautiful and tasted delicious. Highly recommend!

Worth every cent, on arrival we saw a burger missing from the order and gave the store a call, the gentleman personally brought it to us on closing. Beautiful man staff, food – the works.

Best potato cake I’ve ever had in Australia. The fish looked amazing as well. Will be making the 45min drive often and trying more next time.

Do yourself a favour and go support these legends.
You need to check the food that is given to uber eats drivers ,2 items missing and the main meal for 2 people out of 3. Disappointed as there is 5 things in the order and 2 missing. Flake and sav.
But when you order uber eats ,the driver doesn’t check it. Its staffs responsibility to do this and be accountable for your actions. When we call you say its got to be taken up with Uber eats.
Staff need to be more alert to reading whats in the order as the reciept attached to the bag was correct.

Ordered a burger and potato cakes and my gosh, everything was sooo good. The potato cakes were huge with the crispiest batter I’ve ever seen and the potato was soft and fluffy. The burger tastes great, the meat was especially tasty. The service was fantastic, I don’t think I’ve ever felt so welcome in a place like this before.
