About
Champion Lakes Fish and Chips is a takeaway and delivery operation in Camillo, serving the surrounding Armadale region of Western Australia. The fish is the clear highlight here, with regulars consistently praising the batter as well-executed and the serves as generous by current standards. It’s the kind of neighbourhood fish and chip shop that families return to when they want a straightforward, satisfying feed without much fuss.
Value is a genuine talking point. Family feast options can comfortably feed three to six adults at a price that’s hard to match elsewhere, and the shop is well set up for family-friendly ordering whether that’s a quick phone-ahead or a delivery to the door. The chips draw a more mixed response, with some finding them spot-on and others wishing they’d spent a little longer in the fryer. Portion sizes relative to price are another point where opinions differ, so it may be worth ordering a larger meal deal if you’re feeding a crowd.
The shop accepts card and mobile payments, has a wheelchair-accessible car park and entrance, and is open for both lunch and dinner. Delivery is available for those who’d rather not make the trip.
Phone ahead during busy dinner service to keep wait times down.

Waited roughly 20/30 minutes for my order. Spent roughly $40 for one of the packages got home and can honestly say there was only enough chips to feed 2 people! Very disappointed
Ordered the sea food basket and a medium gravy for $25, got home open it up to what looks like a kids chips fish was all there but was very disappointed when I saw the state of the chips, there has always been extra chips with any order of chips but guess they have taken that away with half the chips from orders
Spent $50 odd dollars on dinner didn’t get much and this was a family feast not to mention the bottle of drink was flat and every bottle in the fridge was the same .
And was super greasy.
Good value per head,,family feast for 3 or bigger order for 6 ,both good value. People complaining about amount are winging dogs who will always cry.nothings cheap anymore,,get real feed 3to 6 adults for under 80$ anywhere else
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was truly disappointing. From the moment I walked in, the lady at the front was incredibly rude and dismissive. She made us feel unwelcome and seemed bothered by any questions we asked.
Unfortunately, the poor service didn’t end there. The food was below average – bland, poorly presented, and not worth the price at all. With both the service and food being such a letdown, I can’t recommend this place to anyone. There are many better options nearby where you’re treated with basic respect and served a decent meal.
Fish is fantastic. The batter was perfect The only complaint would be to cook the chips bit longer
Fish and chips tasted great, pretty generous serving size compared to fish and chip shops nowadays
Haven’t gone to a fish and chip shop for years but just fancied some hot chips.
Had a laugh with the lovely lady on the phone. Very friendly and helpful.
$4 was heaps for 2 people. Absolutely the best hot chips.
Can’t wait to try some more items from their menu.
