Staying in the area visiting family, at first I thought the price was a little steep, but it’s the best seafood basket I’ve had in a long time. Perfectly cooked squid and prawns and glad I upgraded to the mackerel. The chips were also perfectly done. They put care into the food and it shows.
Food is okay but gosh the customer service is appalling. The senior woman behind the counter is quite rude. I thought maybe she didn’t like my face, but reading other reviews seems like there’s something going on there.
PS, and the rudeness escalates in her answer to this review. Lady, I’m the bloke who bought the mini seafood basket from you last evening. If you think all bad reviews mentioning your bad attitude are some sort of conspiracy against you I just hope you get the professional help that you need.
Went here with my grandmother and we got a seafood basket plus some extra items to share.
The food was great, was told they got the fish in that day, prawns and squid were amazing and the scallops we had melted in our mouth.
Might be my grandmas new favourite fish and chip place now
Very fresh fish, great selection and great chips in a friendly charming shop. We had the mini fisherman’s basket upgraded to Spanish mackerel and a whiting fish taco all for $40. Highly recommend
We ordered from this restaurant using Door Dash and when the delivery driver arrived the lady at the counter was extremely nasty, saying they don’t accept Door Dash orders and kicked him out. My husband said he has witnessed this behaviour previously. The driver had no choice but to cancel our order.
If they have such an issue with online orders, they should remove their menu from the App? Certainly not the driver’s fault. We were coming here quite regularly but I won’t buy from here again.
This is by far the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Normally after eating the fish and chips I feel sick. The batter was perfect and light. You could tell the oil was clean. A little pricey for fish and chips but well worth it.
Best dhufish we’ve had and keen to head back. Great service and lovely staff and top quality product right through from the cooking oil, house made batter and selection of freshest seafood, highly recommended to dine in and have a nice family meal!
I come every other week and the fish has always been very fresh and tasty. There’s a good range to choose from and all the seafood is top quality. The couple that run it are always good for a chat too. Nice spot.
