About
Kiwi Fish & Chips brings a distinctive New Zealand flavour to the Dianella fish and chip scene, with themed décor that gives the shop a character all its own. Regulars mention the warm, welcoming atmosphere the moment they walk in, and the staff are well regarded for being friendly and happy to make recommendations. It is the kind of place that earns repeat visits.
The menu leans into variety, with snapper, hoki, shark, and emperor all available as individual serves or in basket options. Snapper is a particular favourite, often praised for its light, non-greasy batter and well-cooked chips. The kiwi dogs are a signature item that set this shop apart from the standard suburban chippy, and the Kiwi Basket and Aussie Basket make solid choices for those who want a good spread. Portions have drawn plenty of positive comments, with many diners noting they left with leftovers.
Kiwi Fish & Chips is open for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery, with a dedicated kids’ menu making it a practical choice for families. The venue has a wheelchair-accessible car park and entrance, along with free parking nearby. Reviews across a solid number of visits do reflect some variation in experience, so it is worth knowing that consistency can depend on when you visit.

Amazing fish and hot dogs.
Really delicious and fantastic quality.
Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.
Even Paddington approves 😜
Giving one star rating but deserves zero. $136 dollars for burnt offering. Could have oil changed my car from the amount of grease. Only saving grace was the serving was small. Worst fish and chips ever bar none.
Good Friday. Got snapper fish and chips and some squid. Very nice. Not oily. Good customer service.
I love this place and I’m sad I’ve been sleeping on it for so long. Walking into the place gives you the feeling of a classic fish and chip shop. The New Zealand decorations add life to the place and the employees are all fantastic.
The food is delicious for a great price. Always fresh and perfectly cooked even when delivered. The choice of snacks and drinks are also awesome. You need to try the L&P drink. Great stuff!
The owner himself seems like a really great guy. I was waiting for my order and he offered some free extras to two customers. The big corporations certainly don’t do that.
Awesome place. Definitely recommend any night of the week. Especially on a cold night.
Oh my god, I ordered before they opened, we live 5mins away. What my wife brought home could only be described as putrid. $67 got us 2 off brown soggy logs of fish, the batter was 1cm of thick, wet crud. Chips were bizarrely undercooked??? Crab stick was limp and had the same horrible brown gliz the fish came with.
Saving grace was the squid which im guessing by the other food was bought ĺand made frozen. I should have gone across the road to HJ’s, shame as I remembered this being a good spot back in the day.
Ordered a simple fish and chips and it was great. Nice batter, not too greasy and chips well cooked.
Went in this evening and … So good! I’m so full and yet there are leftovers
The portions are generous and the snapper delicious. The staff are very friendly with the front desk person making suggestions and recommendations. Loved the battered sausage and my toddler ate everything on her plate. This place came recommended to us and I recommend it to you.
Terrible ! Nothing kiwi about it , I’ve never had such horrible fish and chips in my life. a feed for the rubbish bin
