About
Bill’s Fish and Chips is a well-regarded takeaway spot in Duncraig, Western Australia, with a solid reputation built on fresh fish and consistently good cooking. The shop is open for dinner from Tuesday through Sunday, making it a reliable option for the evening meal. Wheelchair-accessible with free parking on site, it’s a practical choice for families, and a kids’ menu means the little ones are looked after too.
The menu leans heavily on quality fish, with an impressive selection that includes King George Whiting, Barramundi, Dhufish, Hake, battered Prawns, and the shop’s standout Pink Snapper sourced from Shark Bay. That Pink Snapper draws particular praise, with many who try it for the first time finding it hard to go back to anything else. The batter is crispy, the chips are generous, and portion sizes draw regulars back time and again.
Long-time customers who have moved out of the area still make the trip back, and newer locals tend to stick around once they’ve tried it. The friendly service is genuine, and the personal touch keeps people coming. It’s the kind of place that quietly earns fierce loyalty without much fuss.
Phone ahead for orders during the dinner rush, especially on weekends.

So disappointed – the chips were reasonably ok but could have been cooked a bit more. The pink snapper at $19.90 a serve was a complete disgrace – soggy under cooked batter and very ordinary fish. Really over-priced and will definitely not be returning again. Feeling completely ripped off for the price charged.
We usually order fish, no chips. It is always such a nice surprise when we find chips in our packet. Thank you Bill and team for the personal touch. We’ve tried other fish shops (when Bill’s is closed) but no other fish shop compares. The fish is awesome!
We rarely do any sort of takeaway. Decided to give Bill’s a go after moving to the area 11 months ago. We ordered two shark, two serves of chips and six battered prawns between three of us. Fish was nice and tasty with a good batter and not greasy. Chips were good. The surprise for me was the prawns, our son wanted them. We got them battered, they were large and tasty. I expected them to be imported but to me they tasted fresh and were enjoyable. A good fish and chips experience and we will come back again.
Love Bill’s F & C. I’ve been coming here for a number of years and have always received delicious chips with crispy fish. Good sized portion and friendly service. Have moved out of the area recently but pop by from time to time for my F & C fix, never disappointed, haven’t found better.
Hands down, best fish I’ve ever had. Never tried snapper before, your snapper has changed my mind & I won’t go back to eating flake, ever.
If you’re craving a delicious meal, you can’t go wrong with Bill’s Fish n Chips! The flavours are absolutely fantastic, and the friendly staff make the experience even better. It’s the perfect spot to indulge in a classic dish while enjoying a warm, welcoming atmosphere!
Always so good. Friendly and efficient. Excellent value for money. Even if we ever move away from the area we will always come back to Bill’s
Average chips. Passive aggressive lady serving me and very rude to other customer in store trying to have a friendly chat. disappointing. $10.50 for $5 worth of chips at best.
