About
Pescado Seafoods is a well-regarded fish and chip shop in Floreat, Western Australia, serving the local community through counter service with outdoor seating and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Open for lunch and dinner, the venue covers takeaway, dine-in, and delivery, making it a practical option for a quick weeknight meal or a casual sit-down with the family. A kids’ menu adds to the family appeal, and free parking makes the stop easy.
The menu leans into quality seafood, with highlights including fish and chips, Spanish mackerel, squid rings, prawns, scallops, and a pineapple fritter for something a little different. Regulars favour the Spanish mackerel for its light, crispy, well-salted batter that avoids the greasy finish some shops fall into. The snapper, available in both battered and grilled options, draws consistent praise for being fresh, juicy, and carefully cooked. Portion sizes are generous, and the chips come out crispy and well-prepared.
The shop does attract a wait, particularly on busier evenings, and online ordering is available to help manage that. The longevity of loyal patrons in Floreat speaks to a steady quality across different phases of the business. With a solid four-plus star reputation across more than a hundred reviews, Pescado holds up well against the broader Perth fish and chips scene.
Phone ahead or order online during the dinner rush, particularly on weekends when hours extend a little later.

Fantastic fish and chips. The batter is delicious, and the chips crispy just the way I like it.
The snapper I ordered was one of the best pieces of fish I’ve ever eaten. Juicy, tasty and fresh.
Will definitely be back again. Seating benches are available, so you can eat them here.
The prawns and calamari were also delicious. The locals are very lucky to have this store on their doorstep.
We’ve been shopping here for over 30 years… through all the different owners.
Consistently winning here – position sizes flavour and quality . Rarely if ever disappointed and bankable happy fish and chip experience.
After a day at work a fish and chips by the beach to watch the sun set is a unique Perth treat.
Of all the fish joints I frequent , this place nrarely disappoints
Creamy calimari, crunchy hot burning chips, fresh mussels and tasty hoki . Dleish. !
Fish tasted great, but customer service was a let down. Order was not to expectation. We ordered extra squid rings and scallops with our fish and chips, but only received 3 scallops – didn’t realise till we got home and was serving out the food. They did give extra squid rings but we really didn’t need that many. Would have preferred if we were told they were out of scallops, and perhaps choose something else. Squid rings were fried stuck together, too.. so the middle was doughy. Not the best experience.
We have been using Pescado on and off for over 10 years. It used to be packed with friendly servers. I waited at least 3 minutes just to be acknowledged as did others. Food was nice with big serving but not great
We’re new to the area, after living abroad for a couple of decades. Great food, really enjoy our local fish and chips! The menu prices listed on the google apps page photos are well out of date however. If you’re interested in accurately estimating the price of your meal their website is a must view – from $12 for Spanish Mackerel on the menu photo to $17.50 (website) now caught us off guard a little
Spanish makarel and chips was fantastic, batter light, crispy and well salted, not oily, the fish was excellent and the chips were crispy and perfectly cooked. Great portion sizes, 4 of us all very happy.
Bit of a wait but well worth it! Went on a Monday and ordered online, only two staff on by the looks of it. Chips were good and the fish was phenomenal. I had the white snapper special and my partner got grilled pink snapper, both were delicious and super flaky. We’ve been looking for a new local and it looks like we’ve found it 😋
Be aware this business might be charging you more than the 1.5% card fee.
First time ordering from this place. Placed an order online and happily paid the extra card fee because fair enough websites aren’t cheap. Forgot the tartare sauce so went to purchase it in store. The sauce was listed as $2.50 on the sign with a 1.5% card fee listed on the machine but the machine came up with $3.04 which is WELL above 1.5%. It’s 21%, if they are charging that for sauce I’d hate to think how much extra they are charging for a full meal
