About
Girrawheen Kebab and Fish and Chips Shop sits in a quiet strip in Girrawheen, in Perth’s northern suburbs, and has quietly built one of the stronger reputations of any local fish and chip shop in the area. With well over four and a half stars across hundreds of visits, the place earns its following not through flashy fit-outs but through consistently solid food.
The menu stretches further than a typical fish and chips shop. Kebabs and pizza are the signature draws here, and both attract loyal regulars. The pizza in particular surprises first-timers: the crust is soft and fluffy, the toppings generous, and the whole thing tends to leave an impression that brings people back. The chicken kebabs are another favourite, often customised with additions like egg and cheese, and portions are reliably substantial.
The setting is casual and unpretentious. There is outdoor seating where locals tend to linger, and the steady flow of foot traffic keeps the place lively across the lunch and dinner service. Dine-in, takeaway, and delivery are all available, and the shop is family-friendly with wheelchair access and free parking on site. Solo diners are a common sight, drawn in for a quick, satisfying meal without any fuss.
For anyone in Girrawheen or the surrounding northern suburbs looking for a reliable local spot, this one is worth a visit. Phone ahead during the dinner rush to avoid a wait on busy nights.

These guys know how to make a kebab!
Not usually craving kebabs, but once in a while I would indulge in a doner kebab from here! Definitely get your money’s worth here!
With the chorus of glowing reviews echoing in my ears, I approached the meat box with anticipation — but left with mixed feelings and a lingering aftertaste of disappointment.
To begin with the positives: the chicken was the undisputed highlight. Succulent, and generously portioned, it showcased a level of care in preparation that deserves recognition. The chips, while served piping hot, lacked the crispness and character one might hope for — more filler than feature.
The real misstep, however, came in the form of the garlic sauce. Rather than a smooth, aromatic complement to the meal, what arrived was a perplexing concoction — thick, lumpy, and oddly gelatinous. It overwhelmed rather than elevated, and unfortunately derailed what could have been a satisfying experience.
Despite the misfire, I’m not one to judge an entire menu by a single dish. There’s clear potential here, and I’ll return with cautious optimism to explore further — next time, perhaps, with my own sauce in tow.
1st visit, the shop didnt look fancy, we were not expecting much….ordered our 1st Pizza, delivered, 1st bite….wow. Loaded with chicken and cheese, the best Pizza ever we had. Afterwards, multiple visits and never disappointed.
Its a fish n chips shop that sells kebabs… great kebabs!
” I have been getting kebabs from here for years!”-type-great-kebabs.
The locals mill about outside, on old chairs n tables. Thats it.
Not a bar ‘n grill ‘n show. Just great kebabs, good service, and some cute spelling errors on the big 2 metre newly printed-up, colour menu-board.
Ordered a chicken kebab W egg n cheese . Sat outside to wait W my dog. Plenty of people coming n going to the different shops. This shop was busy W pizzas, breads
My kebab was delicious much 2 my dogs delight as well
Couldn’t follow a simple order of “no onion”
Do not recommend. Waste of $30 on a hungry sat night.
Best pizza in perth so far. Their crust is so soft and fluffy and the toppings are so perfect that you will enjoy every bite.
By far the best kebab in Perth
The shop makes its own bread wrap and the serve is very generous
I often travel far to come here if I am craving for one
The shop also makes fresh Turkish bread but usually sold out by 3 pm
