About
Mandurah Foreshore Fish & Chips sits right on the Mandurah foreshore, making it a natural stop for locals and visitors alike who want a proper feed by the water. The shop holds a solid four-plus-star reputation across well over two thousand reviews, which speaks to consistent quality over a long run. Dine-in seating is available outdoors, and the venue offers takeaway and delivery for those who prefer to eat elsewhere. Halal food is available, the menu includes vegetarian options, and the setup is genuinely family friendly with a dedicated kids’ menu.
The menu leans heavily on fresh fish, with snapper and chips as the signature dish. Beyond that, barramundi, whiting, shark, Atlantic cod, and a seafood basket round out the seafood offer. The Atlantic cod is a point of difference for the Mandurah area, not commonly found at other fish and chip shops along the coast, and it draws its own loyal following. Portion sizes come up regularly as a highlight, and the fish is well regarded across the board.
Staff are known for being warm and attentive, and the atmosphere suits groups, families, and passing tourists equally well. It is worth noting that recent visitors have flagged wait times that can stretch to forty minutes or more during busy periods, so ordering ahead or arriving outside peak meal times is sensible. Pricing has also shifted upward under the current ownership. Free parking and wheelchair access make the location accessible for all.
Open for lunch and dinner seven days. Phone ahead during the dinner rush to avoid a longer wait.

First visit here mainly because they offer Atlantic cod, which is not common in many fish and chip shops. I ordered the cod and chips. The wait time was reasonable and the service straightforward. The cod itself was very good, nicely battered, crisp, and cooked through with generous portions. However, the chips were inconsistent, some were piping hot and well done, while others were still undercooked in the centre. I had also asked for salt and vinegar, but it seemed to have been missed, which left the chips quite plain.
Overall, the fish was excellent, but the chips could use improvement in consistency and seasoning. With a bit more attention to detail on the chips, this place could easily match the quality of their fish.
$51 for an abyssmal small amount of food. This includes a kids meal with chips and nuggets, a separate $6 chips and a couple pineapple fritters, dim sims and a coke and apple juice. Biggest rip off the size of this should be $30 or less even. On top of that the wait time was high for such a small amount of food. Avoid this place.
Let’s start with the food, which was genuinely tasty. The fish seemed fresh, and the prawns were good as well.
Unfortunately, the wait time really lets the place down. On my first visit I waited over an hour, and on the second visit around 40 minutes…both times after being told it “wouldn’t be long.”
From where I was seated, the kitchen looked like absolute mayhem…lots of yelling, staff (including very young workers) appearing unsure where things were, customers being turned away because they couldn’t keep up, and, most concerning, hygiene in the kitchen seemed lacking. The lady cooking had feet in “vanta black” colour…so dirty.
There’s potential here because the food is good, but the organisation, wait times, and cleanliness need serious improvement.
My partner and I ordered food from here and it was delicious..I’ll be definitely coming back. the stuff were amazing
Food was fair and all is as it should be for a fish n chip shop. Service was ok but the food took too long.
Food is great, unfortunately, after being a long term Customer for this place, I have watched the prices rise and portion sizes get smaller. (Which would be fine if the prices matched the portion sizes) but Waiting times are also a huge let down (40-80 minutes for food after ordering). Will still come to this place occasionally but there could be a lot of better changes made.
Food was above average but we waited almost 40mins for 2 burgers and a junior fish n chips. It wasn’t packed but maybe they had other orders they were tending to. I saw 3 ppl working. Music was good but soo loud you’d have to go outside to think if u needed too lol. Ordered oysters but was then told they had none 35mins later. they offered mussels as a substitute but I wasn’t keen so a refund was given. Girl who served me had a bit of a smart arse attitude. We told her we’d be a while ordering as we were still deciding. She walked out back, then we had walked away to grab our bank card we had forgotten from the car, she came back out front to yell BYE!! as if to say we were rude for walking away. I signalled to her we’d be back. Then we returned and her attitude was better this time. I’d still eat here again as the food wasn’t bad and they gave us extra chips and half of a fish I’m assuming for the wait time 👍🏽
i came here today, brandon served me, he was attentive and very nice. lee cooked our food, she was the most loving and beautiful lady, she gave us out food to the table, and her smile was very warm, i would come back simply for lees service 💕
