This has changed management a few times but the fish & chips is still value for money.

This is what i would class as traditional fish and chips, not fashionable… generous fish and serving size, nice baster, oil etc, can buy all the types of condiments you need, great service and a huge range of fish choices to suit anyone.
Absolutely lovely staff, a West Aussie staple that’s held fondly in the minds of locals. The food is lovely the portions are very generous, and you can tell the staff legitimately care. The menu is plentiful and the prices are very reasonable. Without this beautiful fish & chip shop, Southlands is incomplete.

Used to be good. Fish was mushy and tastless. Batter too thick too with small fish inside. Maybe not Snapper or fresh ? Chips also not crunchy. Been here a lot over 15 years ( And usually good)so maybe different staff or run out of fresh fish ? Might have to travel to Kailis in Freo next time as always perfect there.
We have eaten from here before and were looking forward to our lunch for a special occasion. Unfortunately, they didn’t open for 3 and a half hours after online advertised time of opening. Very disappointing. Rang at teatime to ask when they did actually open. No apologies for not being there. Just be aware, check if they are open as they might not be, when you expect them to be.
