Ordered a large platter during peak period, but did not have to wait long for our food. They provided a very generous portion of chips with the platter (as you can see from the photo). Food overall tasted great, the calamari was personally the highlight for me 🙂 I will note that they don’t put as much seasoning in their food compared to other fish & chip places, which I was happy with (but others who shared the meal thought that the food tasted bland).
We had to wait like 30 minutes for our food and it wasn’t even peak time. We ordered barramundi which was extremely dry and overcooked. The garlic prawns had a disgusting sauce on it with a very artificial garlic taste. The mixed plate was just avarage . Definitely not going back.
As a first time here, not only was the food super delicious, crisp and hot, but the small chat made the whole experience quite friendly and comfortable 😊 As a group of 6 we ordered the family pack which had the perfect amount. The wait time was less than 10 minutes. Inside the pack they also added a couple extras of everything, 10/10 store!
The store owner also recommended us to eat at the grassy area opposite on the street of the shop, which had an amazing view of the ocean!
I had the prawn and oyster plate which was fresh and the staff were super nice (unlike some of the reviews). I was offered hot water and lemon to rinse my fingers which was a nice touch.
The shop is facing the ocean and I was there early so it was not crowded.
You can take the food to go or eat on the wall bar.

Ordered the regular fish and chips with chicken salt. The staff were friendly and my food came out quickly. The portion was large and was delicious. It was surprisingly difficult to find fish and chips near Bondi but I’m glad I found this spot!
Tried the fish burger at Bondi Surf Seafood and absolutely loved it! 😍 Fresh, crispy, and packed with flavour.. just what you’d hope for by the beach. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the whole burger had that satisfying balance of crunch and juiciness. 😋 Great spot for a quick bite after a coastal walk. I’ll definitely be coming back for another!❤️
The fish 🐟 and chips 🍟 here, including the calamari rings, I must admit don’t quite meet the standards you would expect in a beachside/coastal suburb, especially in a city where there is proximity to where the fish are caught. Not to mention they are overly priced for fish and chips. There are a few inland fish and chips shops worth travelling a little bit extra for if you want better fish and chips. Regards @fooderarri
Fish and Chips were amazing, the amout of food was unexpected, we ordered the family sampler and it would definitely have fed an entire family not just 3 adults. Be prepared to pay an additional fee for sauce since there were plenty of chips and potatoes in the sampler, the chicken salt was pretty amazing.
