About
Kirribilli Seafoods is a well-regarded fish and chip shop sitting in the inner-Sydney suburb of Kirribilli, serving the local community and visitors alike from 11:30am through to 8pm, seven days a week. The menu leans heavily on fresh seafood, with highlights including gurnard (flathead), New Zealand Hoki, Tasmanian salmon, and six grilled calamari or octopus. Potato cakes are a firm favourite alongside the classic fish and chips, and the batter is consistently described as light and golden rather than heavy or greasy.
The salmon is a standout on the grilled side of the menu, cooked with care and drawing solid praise from regulars. Calamari rings are crispy and fresh-tasting, and the house-made tartare sauce has earned its own following. For those wanting something a little different, the Bocconcini and Avocado Salad adds a lighter option to an otherwise seafood-forward menu. Chip serves are generous, and the pricing is considered fair for the quality on offer.
Kirribilli Seafoods caters for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery, with outdoor seating and a buzzer notification system that keeps things moving during busy lunch and dinner periods. The shop is family-friendly, and the service is known for being warm and efficient. It carries a solid four-plus star reputation across nearly 500 reviews, a consistent signal that the kitchen delivers on freshness and flavour.
Worth a visit for anyone exploring Sydney’s lower north shore. Phone ahead for larger orders during peak dinner hours.

First time here on vacation and found this accidentally. We ordered the fish and chips and crumbled calamari with a Greek salad. The batter was crispy, and light. The fish and calamari was so fresh. We definitely recommend this place! We ate early at 5:30 PM then a line started forming. A lot of locals eat here. Try it out. You won’t be disappointed!
One of the best fish and chips we’ve ever had in Sydney. Salmon was perfectly grilled and calamari was very delicious and tender. Generous serving of chips and salad too. Price is very reasonable and cheap considering the quality of food you get.
Nice little shop run by some really friendly folks. We got the seafood platter to share to go under their recommendation and it was fab. Seafood was fresh and delicious. The homemade tartar sauce was so good as well. Glad we picked up a pack. Decently priced as well.
Really friendly and fast service. Incredibly fresh tasting and delicious fish and chips. Not overly oily like many other places, and a pretty good price for the serving! We will absolutely be coming back
As a tourist…I feel so lucky that Kirribilli Seafoods was recommended to us by my husband’s coworker who is from Sydney! Not sure we would have made the quick train ride without the rec. The selection was impressive and the food prep took very little time. It was the best fish and chips we had on our 2 week trip. I also really enjoyed the garlic prawns 🤤. If they ask you, definitely get your chips with the chicken salt. We walked down to the park to eat our food in the sun–a perfect lunch!
Decent taste, but not many seats for dine-in and their staffs were not that friendly. Could be better
Business is good! Plenty of customers queuing when we arrived around 1pm. Chips were crunchy and salted well. Fish was nicely battered and fresh.
Staff were polite despite being very busy. They give you a buzzer which notifies you when to collect your food.
GREAT FISH AND CHIPS! We loved this place and the freshness of the food was amazing. Its a great first stop off the Water Taxi under the bridge get a walk up the hill and eat here and return to get views of the bridge and SPH.
