When in the area we love to come here for their fish’n’chips and their potato scallops – one of the best in NSW! The prawn cocktails, grilled barramundi, seafood sticks , pineapple fritter are also spot on. Grab your food and eat by the beach – just perfect!
Best burger I’ve had in 20 years – must try the burger with the lot! The barramundi & potato scallops are fabulous too. I enjoyed their food so much I took some back to Sydney to share with my family. The owners are so friendly. Highly recommend!! Georgie
Unpleasant experience, got about 20 chips with my fish and chips. Took it back to get told that’s a cup of chips and what they always serve. Had no ice cream for a milk shake and food is very average. Go to any other place in the Illawarra for a better feed.

Oh that is only 1 of the many reasons for a bad review!
1- the food was disgusting. Apart from the small portion of chips, the fish was soggy as and the burger wasn’t much better. If you’re going to serve fish and chips in a tray that big, you best believe it is expected to have more chips. Common knowledge amongst any other fish and chip stores.
2- ice cream is a basic item to have if your menu says milkshakes, that’s a failure on your business to no be prepared.
3- you had food sitting out of the counters exposed to flies and bugs, ready to sell. That would have to go against all food and safety regulations.
If you want to avoid wasting your money, then avoid Peps Takeaway.

Good fast food, fast service, good range. Has some basic groceries like milk, bread, sugar and tea.
Has coffee as well
Really great ice cream range and basic tackle.

Totally recommend grabbing chips and eating it by the water. Something about their chips wrapped in butchers paper makes it so yummy !
Probably the worst burger I’ve had.
The patty was mixed with bread crumbs to bulk up the meat & it made it taste like a flour patty, the rest of the burger just fell apart plus it wasn’t cheap.
The service was terrible by the grumpy owner but the young man was polite & honestly looked like he was holding everything together.
Even the guy next to me said the burger was bad & bulked up with bread crumbs.
We ended up feeding it to the lizards at home.
I hate expensive products that are stingy & cheap. Save your money & your stomach. Go somewhere else.
Waited 30 mins and this is what we got. After we put lemon on we realised how small the portion is. So overpriced for the amount you actually get.
Has amazing pricing for the quantity you get and has an original chip shop feel. Payed around 25 for 2 burgers and chips. Definitely recommend 🙂
