A fantastic fish and chip shop that exceeded all my expectations. Everything was incredibly tasty, making for a delightful dining experience.
The highlight of my visit was the Maverick Burger, featuring grilled cod with herbs and aioli. I fell in love with it instantly—the fish was perfectly cooked, and the combination of flavors was simply amazing.
This local gem is not only affordable but also serves high-quality food. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, thanks to the friendly and attentive staff. It’s the kind of place where you feel right at home.
In summary, this fish and chip shop is a must-visit. With delicious food, reasonable prices, and a great community vibe, it’s definitely a spot to return to.
An absolute local favourite and I can tell the reason why, definitely they serve the freshest seafood and so tasty. Best fish and chips in tweed heads for sure. Also service is prompt and I had my fish n chips fix from here so many times during my stay in tweed.
Would highly recommend this spot also they have lots of dining space, and prices are very standard.
Busy fish and chips shop with lovely staff. There was a huge line which moved slow but the food didn’t take too long to come out which was nice.
Food:
We got a few different items and it was all very tasty. The fish of the day was flathead and the fish was cooked perfectly, except the batter wasnt very nice so I wish I got grilled or crumbed. Kids chicken tenders are big, real chicken pieces, a tiny bit dry but great flavour. The works burger was packed and super saucey. Calamari was big and cooked great with no stringy bits. Chips were crispy and hot, really yum.
Service:
All the staff were very lovely, our server was friendly and helpful. The pick up counter was also very nice and although the ordering was a little slow, the chef’s out back were getting those orders out quick.
Atmosphere:
Plenty of parking in the area and it’s right next to the water so you can eat at the venue or walk down to the park and enjoy your meal with a view. The front was in full sun so it was very hot waiting in the queue and most of the seating at the front would be too hot to eat at but it’s a cute shack style restaurant.
Great and friendly service. That also ago good coffee and breakfast, including donuts and milkshakes. Great location near the river. $5 small chips and large size coffee for less than $5.
My fiance and I came from QLD to visit and were not disappointed!
The location is fabulous 😍
Right near the beach with quick access.
The staff were just fabulous! Very friendly and fun for a banter, which is always appreciated 👍
We got the seafood basket for one to share with homemade tartare sauce. Yum!
The calamari rings are the most divine thing I have put in my mouth in forever. Just mind blowing!
My fiance voted the prawns as his favourite, we also loved the rest!
We will be coming down at Christmas and will definitely be visiting again.
Thank you to tha staff for being so amazing!
Great spot for a feed. Fish and chips top quality, good sized serves and not to expensive. Very short wait for the meal. This will be our regular when visiting Tweed heads.
Just OK. The chips were ok, the fish was OK and the calamari was OK. Not overly impressive at all.
Looking fir a different Fish n Chip shop, and stumbled across this Gem. Located, just off the swimming area of Tweed Heads, was a perfect location! Parking was easy, menu had a good selection. We got the Snapper and Chips, grilled and shared a can of drink. Cost was $45 for us both. It was so deliciously cooked, we will definately go back again!
