About
Bracken Ridge Seafoods is a well-regarded fish and chip shop serving the Bracken Ridge community, with a solid reputation built on quality food and generous value. The fisherman’s basket is the signature dish and draws consistent praise, with regulars describing it as outstanding value for money. Chips are a particular highlight, crispy and satisfying enough that they apparently hold up well the next day reheated.
The menu covers all the classics. Battered and crumbed cod are both popular choices, cooked without grease and with clean, fresh flavour. Potato scallops have earned a loyal following among locals, with some rating them among the best in Brisbane. Calamari and battered prawns round out the seafood options, while the works burger is worth ordering for anyone who fancies something different from the usual fish-and-chip fare.
The shop is open for lunch and dinner and handles busy periods with a friendly, efficient approach. Takeaway and delivery are both available, making it easy to get a feed on your terms. Families are well catered for with a kids’ menu, and the premises include wheelchair-accessible parking and entry.
For anyone in the northern Brisbane suburbs looking for a reliable fish and chips spot, Bracken Ridge Seafoods is a strong option. Check opening hours and the full menu below.

First time ordering from here, the usual next to BWS was shut until the first of Jan, where we’d normally get our fish n chips.
Glad they were now.
These guys are closer and definitely worth stopping at and grabbing a feed. Battered fish is perfectly crunchy and thick, big portions too. Generous servings all round and priced well.
Will definitely give the burgers a try next.
Service is bang on from phone ordering to pick up, walk in order or online (online website didn’t work)
Wouldn’t recommend Menulog with inflated $$ best to go Old School and ring in your order or walk in.
Highly recommend 🤙
Absolutely spectacular! Had the crumbed and battered cod. It was cooked beautifully, not greasy at all – just delicious clean food.
They were so busy being Good Friday but very friendly and it was definitely worth the wait.
Worst burger I’ve ever had. The patty was all filler….tasted like flour. I don’t think there was any mince involved! Won’t go back there again. Only tried it on recommendation from community page. Terrible!
Ordered a chicken schnitzel burger and fish tonight. Both were raw in the centre. See attached photo of the raw chicken patty from the burger….
Favourite fish and chip shop. The fisherman’s basket is unbelievable value!! The chips are so amazing. And even yummy reheated the next day. Crumbed fish is delish. Would definitely recommend. Haven’t tried a burger yet. That might be next on the list.
Appalling service. Went in today, I had to wait to place my order while the girl finished with a phone order, then a woman behind her said sorry we are closed. Annoyed I was made to wait just to be refused service, shut the door and put a closed sign up if you care about your customers.
Best fish and chips around, also do great burgers
These guys make the yummiest fish and chips. And the works burger is fantastic. Give Maccas a miss and try a real burger! And their potato scallops are the best in Brisbane imho 😊
