Ordered due to good reviews but unfortunately the food was average at best. The fish was fine, nothing to write home about, but the scallops were so chewy… I’ve never had a scallop so bad before. I was even questioning if they’d accidentally given me something else instead.
I also got the wrong sauce, tartare instead of seafood.
It wasn’t the worst experience but I don’t think I’d order again based on this.
Customer service was ok. Felt rushed when placing an order over the phone. Lady speaking way too fast.
Food was the worst fish n chips ive ever had. I might be a hard critic because ive grown up on the beach my whole life.
It made me think, i created a saying.
Any fish n chip shops 10km or further away from the beach. Its a NO GO.
Hopefully these guys can provide better quality food. I couldve caught & cooked it all better myself. No harsh feelings here. Pure honesty 👍. Btw my order was $60 worth
We live in Redcliffe and we’re in burpengary looking for somewhere to eat. We got a pack 3 cod chips and calamari for $18.50 it was a huge delicious meal the chips were crunchy, calamari really big rings and not overcooked, the fish was tasty we will return better then some of the places we have in Redcliffe
Best fish and chips in Brisbane. However signage identifying the place would help. I drove there and went around and around looking for K&K. They still have the old sign up for another name which apparently has been there for a long time. Even though it’s been quite a while since they became K&K. Having the name of your business clearly displayed as a crucial part of customer satisfaction.
Found this shop by accident driving back to Sunny Coast & so glad we did. 😁 the best fish & chip shop we have ever been to. Friendly staff, yummy food & well worth the drive in from the M1.

Best seafood anywhere around North Brisbane, the calamari rings are enormous,
the fish is always cooked perfect. This is the only place we go for seafood. Owner and staff are very friendly.
I dropped in yesterday 7/3/2026 for a Works burger as in the past these were always fantastic at this shop however yesterday my works burger had no beef patty it was a thin beef minute type steak and also on the burger was a thin crumbed scallop type thing , no pineapple , no beetroot , it was the most horrible works burger i’ve ever had or tasted in my life and will never use this shop again , i suspect its different owners now but you do NOT make a Works burger like this !!!!!
