Still excelent shop Feb 2025…….I went back in Feb 2022 and had calamari and chips, just great to see consistent good food. Great fish & chips at a fair price. Plenty of parking, lovely staff, great selection and a nice area to eat in the shade. We had 1 battered and one crumbed Red Emperor; my batter was like tempura yum yum.
I’ve been coming here for a while now and they never miss. The fish is always crispy and fresh, chips are perfect every time, and the portions are perfect. The staff are lovely too, always friendly and quick. Definitely my go-to for fish and chips in Gympie.
I always order the Barramundi and its the best in Gympie by far!! Serving sizes are generous and its consistently fresh and wait times are minimal. I’ve never had a bad experience here and visit often, at various time too. Thanks Team 😀 👌
I personally travel up and down the coast.and in and out of the hinterlands + plus rural areas.Gympie fish,n chips.is hands down the best.fresh chips clean oil the fish just melted in my mouth.as for the grave.its to die for.
The service has been repeatedly horrible here. The male worker on the till makes you feel very uncomfortable and has very poor customer service skills. Witnessesed multiple interactions with the man and customers, completely appalled by his unprofessionalism, abrasive manner, and lack of respect. Food is average, overpriced and not worth having to put up with the staff.
Good value for fish and chips deal with sauce just $12.95 and online order can have extra 10% off , delicious and highly recommended.
1st time eating from here. Ordered online which is super convenient said wait time approximately 10min. Arrived at the shop. Shop seems dirty. Staff seem pleasent and cheerful. 40 min later……. finally got my order fish, chips and hamburger. Food was tasty, little on the expensive side. Not sure if i would.go back. 😏
Used to be awesome and my last two visits have been very underwhelming. Both Cod ( crumbed and battered) undercooked and needing an air fry 5 mins from the shop on both occasions. Requested extra chicken salt and got soggy chips with no salt at all. The owner I presume wanted to be a comedian and rather than listen to the customer, made an order I didn’t request . Once i can overlook this once but twice, yes not going to happen anymore, will go elsewhere from now on and tell my mates. Guy was happy to presume my order without clarification and was totally not what I’d asked for. Will have to find a new Fish and Chips in Gympie.
