It operates as a casual takeaway with outdoor seating and table service, welcoming families, groups, and solo diners alike. No reservations are needed, just turn up and order.
The menu centres on fresh fish and chips done well, with calamari, seafood platters, and a range of sauces including tartare rounding out the seafood side of things. The mackerel is worth tracking down when available, and the hamburgers have drawn their share of praise too, with fresh ingredients and honest pricing making them a popular pick. Following a glowing recommendation from a mate I drove up the hill to get some mackerel n chips….
Well worth the drive… fish was fresh with crispy batter and chips cooked to perfection, even the clever way the lemon was wrapped to keep it away from chips made a big difference. Exceptional value for $$.
And served with a lovely smile from the friendly lady. What more could one ask for ??
Best fish and chips I have had in a while!
We stopped here for lunch after the train ride up, such an awesome spot, we had a hamburger and chips. The burger was absolutely delicious, couldn’t fault it, seasoned well, all ingredients were fresh, and only 13 bucks well priced for what you get, we also got a large chips, these were 10 bucks, easily fed 3 of us we couldn’t even finish them. They were cooked well nice and crispy, a little under seasoned for us but still tasted good. Service was very good also keep up the good work guys.
Great food and big portions for great prices. Seating is limited, but you can always do take away.
I’ve been meaning to write a review for quite some time. I’ve only visited once and glad I did. Family run and made with love. Generous portion and way to cheap for the amount of effort that goes into the end results. Appreciated

3 cheers 🍻
It’s unusual to see a solitary chip shop in a small town, with no competition, who run such a great service. Food is top notch chip shop food and prices are very fair.
I had a lovely experience! Kind service, mindful pricing and yummy food. I’ll be back!
