The venue is wheelchair accessible at the entrance and car park, and a kids’ menu makes it a solid choice for families in the Mount Gravatt East area.
The menu centres on quality seafood done simply and well. Cod is a clear crowd favourite, with generous serves that have earned the shop a strong reputation among Brisbane fish and chips lovers. Snapper also features alongside chips, potato scallops, small dim sims, and a pineapple fritter for those who enjoy something a little different. Value packs offer a smart way to feed a group without the hefty price tag, and regulars consistently note that the chips hold up well alongside the fish, which is high praise in anyone’s books.
The shop may not win awards for interior design, but the food more than compensates. Owners are known for being friendly and attentive, and takeaway orders are handled efficiently. The staff leave a positive impression, the kind that keeps people coming back rather than just passing through.

This place doesn’t look like much. It’s in bad need of a good renovation. However, the food is really good, and that is what matters. The chips are how I decide how good the local fish and chip shop is. I was a little doubtful, based on the look of the place. But the chips were perfect – crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. No greasy fingers at all. You don’t get a lot for your money, but the cost of food everywhere is expensive. A hidden gem, and worth a visit if you’re in the area. Very busy, so the locals know something.
The owners are friendly and very responsive with takeaway orders. The chips are good and fish is great quality & tasty. And great value!
Stopped here tonight and it was DELICIOUS! By far the best fish and chips we have had in Brisbane! We got the family Cod dinner with came with 4 LARGE pieces of Cod and then a lot of fries! We highly recommend this place!
We happened to drive along this road and felt like fish and chips, so we came in to take a look. Their value packs are very decent at $28 for two cods, two seafood sticks, two battered corn dogs (Pluto Pups) and four potato cakes (scalloped potatoes, here in QLD) and small chips. The potatoes were crunchy and fresh, the cod was meaty and the corn dogs had a good crunch when you bite into it. Not bad. A few tables around if you want to stay but a very quiet strip.
Lovely to see great service and fantastic staff.
The most genuinely Lovely lady that served me was absolutely a breath of fresh air.
Food is outstanding 👌 😋 👏 🙌 😍 😀
Got told the chips were the best in Brissy and they didn’t disappoint. Our food was crunchy, well seasoned and not oily. It’s definitely a lil local treasure
The food is great value and never disappoints. The burgers with the lot have been next level lately, large patties and packed with fresh salad, I struggle to get my mouth around them. Owners are lovely too.
Terrific place. So clean, so friendly and amazing prices. Please support this small business, you will not be disappointed. Food is delicious by the way.
