So disappointed for paying $80. The chips were soggy and not nice, fish was nearly inedible, so chewy and dry for snapper. Our battered fish looked like skin after sitting in water for hours and tasted just as good. I don’t normally complain but the shop was not busy so not sure what went wrong.
Ordering online and pick up was easy. The food was below par and not worth it!

I was craving fish and chips and stumbled upon Holy Mackerel — so glad I did! It’s conveniently located near the bus stop with parking just across the road. The shop owner was really friendly, and the food was simple but great. The fish was fresh, and all the seafood came out hot and crispy — just what I needed. Definitely a great local spot for a satisfying seafood fix!
Worst flake of my life. Texture was smooshy and super fishy do not recommend. They do have nice chips and we didnt try anything else on the menu but my advice is dont order the flake. Lovely service otherwise I’d avoid, choose somewhere thats is busy you know they have good fish and chips. This place was dead our mistake.
The fish was okay, not bad. However, the chips were quite disappointing — oily and tasted a bit stale, like they’d been sitting for a while. Portion size was decent, but overall the meal didn’t feel fresh. Could be better with some improvement in quality.

Absolutely disgusting fish thst is claimed to be fresh but is clearly frozen
$130 for snapper and chips for 4 people and the fish was inedible.
took one piece back as the kids were just hungry .
The response i got was “red snapper is known to be fishy tasting” By a young girl who was sarcastic with here responses and all the young kids in the kitchen had a good laugh .
The owner shook his head in the back of the kitchen which is again not good customer service.
Do yourself a favor and catch your own !!! or try the boathouse just don’t go here !!!!
We bought 2 pieces of ‘Cod’ & Chips.
I piece was crumbed & the other grilled.
It took just 5 minutes to be ready & was truly delicious! We’ll definitely be going back for more seafood delights in the future.
They completely forgot our order. We waited for 45-50mins as it was a week end and our number never got called. We finally asked where it was and honestly they had no idea what was going on. So we waited another 15 mins or so for them to cook it. The kids on the counter had no idea, looked like they were blaming each other, then every other person in the shop got involved but not one sorry. Honestly won’t go back if they can’t even admit they stuffed up. My kids were starving.
chips were horrible, waited over 50 minutes for chips that take 10 mins to cook. gravy is gross and thick, called out people before us who ordered way after us and when we asked where our food was they said that they were packing them now but then had to wait another 10 mins for them. don’t not recommend.
