Great variety of fish and large serving sizes. I wish I didn’t buy a tub of tomato sauce, as there was complimentary tomato and bbq sauce at the take out counter outside… You have to scan a QR code to sit down… We just ate at the park opposite and enjoyed the nice views and the sunny day. Really good value.
Ordered the pack for 2 cost around $40++ It got 2 pieces of fish , fries, calamari, fries scallops and 1 sauce. The fish was a bit disappointing as it was so dry and not fresh enough. The amount was not that much when compared to other shops I have been but the good thing is the location and they do have a table for you in case you don’t wanna walk far away to find seats. Young man who got my order, he’s nice and friendly. They also have a coffee shop next to the shop.
The fish and chips were absolutely delicious, with a crispy batter and tender fish, while the fried scallops and calamari rings were cooked to perfection. The tartar sauce was uniquely flavorful, and the generous availability of chicken salt and condiments, free of extra charge, was a delightful touch. However, the dining experience could be improved with an additional fan to combat the heat. The fish was slightly thick, giving it a texture similar to chicken, but the flavor remained impressive. Overall, a fantastic meal with minor room for improvement.
Calamari was really tender. Fish was slay. Chips were crispy, golden and oh so delicious. Walk across the road to sit and eat on the river. Location also slay. Will be back asap. 10/10 recommend.
Great seafood cafe close to all amenities. We had red emperor with chips and salad. Excellent public seating across the road with fabulous views.
The line was out the door when we arrived. This and a small crowd gathered near the door. This can only mean 1 thing… great food!!!
The line moved quickly. Locals and tourists were greated alike. Friendly and with a smile. The short wait for food was well worth it.

As local residents, we’ve been coming to Red Emperor regularly for about 8 years and have found nothing better in the Noosaville area. But alas, what was, is no more. The management has recently changed hands, and last night’s experience is one which we will not repeat. The fish bights, instead of being lightly battered and fluffy, were heavily battered and overcooked. Inedible. I gave them to the dog. The dog ate them but dogs will eat anything. The calamari, instead of being crisp as before, was underdone. The chips, always perfect, were greasy and heavy. OK, the tourists, their main trade, will enjoy the ambience of the river and the occasion, and forget about the food. But we locals will not. Red Emperor, you won’t see us again.

Very friendly and helpful when ordering my favourites. My meal included delicious fresh flake, chips, calamari, potato scallop. All Cooked perfectly. Thoroughly enjoyed by the noosa river ✨👌highly recommend.
