About
Millies Fish and Chips has built a well-earned reputation as one of the Gold Coast’s top fish and chip shops, drawing regulars and visitors alike to its Paradise Point location. The menu leans heavily on freshness, with fish cooked to order rather than sitting under a lamp, and the chips come out crunchy and well-seasoned every time. Prawns, calamari, and family packs round out a seafood-focused menu, while the Big Fish and the Steak Burger offer solid options for those after something more substantial.
One of the more distinctive features here is a menu that is approximately 95 per cent gluten free, making Millies a genuinely useful find for anyone managing dietary requirements. Sweet potato wedges have developed a following of their own, and the value on offer across the family packs keeps larger groups coming back.
Dine-in, takeaway, and no-contact delivery are all available, with outdoor seating and a dog-friendly policy that suits a casual outing. The venue is fully wheelchair-accessible, including the car park, entrance, and seating areas. A kids’ menu and a welcoming approach to families and groups make it a natural choice for a relaxed meal at Paradise Point. Counter service keeps things moving efficiently, and free parking nearby removes one more reason to hesitate.
Open seven days from morning through to early evening, Millies covers brunch, lunch, and dinner. Phone ahead for larger orders during the Friday and Saturday dinner rush.

When we heard they have a 95% gluten free menu, we just had to check it out — and we weren’t disappointed! Great value fish & chip packs, and the sweet potato wedges are the best we’ve ever found. Crunchy chips and great battered fish and calamari, and we’ve never once had any issue with coeliac contamination. It’s great to have somewhere you can trust for reliable gluten free food.
Staff are always incredibly welcoming and attentive. And great views with the beach just across the road! Definitely a must visit if you want to grab a bite for lunch or dinner. 🐟
Fresh fry fish and chips for you after you placed the order, not pre-made then reheat it. Love the heat, crispy and salty taste. So yummy 😋. No wonder how they can get Rate No. 1 fish and chips restaurant in Gold Coast. The cashier has a good smile 😊 and very polite. Make me feel welcomed.
Some of the best hot chips I’ve had nice and crunchy! prawns juicy … great friendly service 10/10
We took the kids to Paradise Point and decided to get fish and chips. My physique is a testament for my love of food. I must say, this is the best fish and chips we’ve ever had. We had the Family Pack , 4 fish, 8 Calamari, chips etc. I made the mistake of ordering 4 extra potato scallops. Waaaaay too much food. The fish was amazing, chips…… oh the chips. Crunchy, light, fluffy just amazing. Prawn cutlets were huge and cooked to perfection.
We ordered takeaway to sit on the beach, but if this was served to you at a restaurant you’d be more than happy.
Staff were really friendly and efficient. Our order was ready in 10 minutes and the shop was packed with customers. We can see why, it’s just that good.
Would give more than 5 stars if we could 👌
Everything we had was amazing. We ordered a family combo which consisted of 4 fish of the day (Hoki), Large Chips, Calamari and Prawns. We upgraded one fish to snapper. All fish were cooked to perfection, the batter wasn’t oily or floury – the fish was fresh. Chips were crunchy and the prawns/calamari were so good, not chewy at all. Staff were friendly and welcoming and our meal came out quickly even though it was super busy.
We don’t have fish and chips often as we’ve never found a good one worth going to. Soooo glad we tried this today. Our #1 fish & chip shop.. we will be regulars now 😊😊.
I ordered a takeaway on New Year’s Eve with an event on in the park. There was a big crowd with three queues of people. I was served quite quickly be a polite, efficient and unflustered server. My meal was ready in reasonable time and very nice, good fish, crispy chips and large tender calamari. I was very impressed considering the circumstances.
Millies Fish and Chips easily lives up to the hype. The fish was perfectly battered, super crispy and not greasy at all, while the chips and potato cakes were seasoned generously with chicken salt. Their house-made tartare sauce was a standout and paired so well with the fish. The beef burger was also surprisingly hefty and delicious, making it more than just a fish and chips stop. Hands down some of the best fish and chips on the Gold Coast.
Best fish and chips I have ever had 5 stars from me. BUT the star of that shop was a delightful young guy called Oliver…..what a superstar he is 🌟 he gets 10 stars 🌟 I have managed in customer service for over 30 years and this young man could not have had better customer service skills. So polite, kind and professional…..well done Oliver 🌟
