About
Redcliffe Seafood Takeaway has built a solid reputation along the Moreton Bay peninsula, drawing regulars and visitors alike who make a point of stopping in when they’re in the area. The fish is consistently praised for being fresh and freshly battered, and the chips are well-seasoned, generous serves that hold up to the standard you’d hope for from a quality Redcliffe fish and chip shop.
The menu covers all the classics and then some. Homemade potato scallops are a highlight, alongside calamari rings, seafood sticks, and the crowd-pleasing fish and chips for two. Burgers and Asian-style dishes round out the offering, making it a practical choice for groups with mixed tastes. Battered oysters have also drawn particular attention, with locals noting they’re difficult to find done well anywhere else on the peninsula.
The shop is open for lunch and dinner six days a week, closed Tuesdays, and caters to dine-in, takeaway, and delivery. Outdoor seating is available, and the venue is fully wheelchair accessible with an accessible car park, entrance, and seating. A kids’ menu is on offer, making it a comfortable stop for families. Card and NFC payments are accepted, and free parking is available nearby.
A handy spot for anyone passing through Redcliffe or looking for reliable fish and chips in the Moreton Bay area. Check the hours before heading in, as the kitchen closes just before 9pm each evening.

Easily the best Fish and Chips in Moreton Bay.
Every time we get a break to Redcliffe we try and make an excuse to come and grab fish and chips from Redcliffe Seafood.
Fish is fresh, freshly battered and perfectly cooked. Potato cakes always fluffy and the chips perfect.
Not greasy will only leave a good taste in your mouth.
100% perfect rate for us every visit.
Chips were lukewarm, barely salted (with the wrong salt ordered).
Potato scallops barely covered in batter, cold despite only just giving them to us.
Aioli was yellow, going clear in some places, tasted sour. Gave the impression that it was either very old or expired.
Gravy was yummy, but wasn’t mixed properly as it had lumps of powder throughout it.
Owner was constantly rude to staff member, loud enough that we heard from outside.
Order placed 30 minutes before pickup time, still took 10 extra minutes to get to us despite being one of the only orders on the dockets.
Online says they close at 8:45, but the door was still open at 9 and food was still being cooked and given to customers after closing time.
After eating food and getting home, everyone who ate the food was either throwing up, or getting sick.
Would not recommend.
Second time ordering through uber with these guys. First time it was less than satisfactory. This time they gave me the complete wrong order and what I did get I wouldn’t feed my dog. Poor effort,
Delicious! Just had perfectly cooked calamari with chicken salt, yummo 😁
Absolutely faultless, fantastic fresh fish and well salted chips. Ready fast and greeted with a friendly smile. Will be our new go to fish and chip shop!
I love the battered oysters from here. Nice and big and yummy. Highly recommend for the peninsula and north side in general. The only place where I have found good decent battered oysters. The fish n chips are good as well.
I took a friend to Redcliffe for lunch, it had been a while since I was in the area and I always came to this shop to eat as the food was excellent. I realized it had changed hands and hoped after praising past experiences it wouldn’t let me down. So happy to say it was all we could ask for. Chips were served up first to start is off, that was the game changer as on sight I knew the food was going to be great as the chips were absolutely perfect. Perfect chips equal great meal to follow. Looking forward to our next trip. Pleasant experience all round. Thank you for making us welcome. 👏👏😊
Ordered through uber eats, asked for extra salt and there was next to none. My cod had bones in it and quite a few of them. Chips weren’t good burger was decent though
