The prawn Burger is so crunchy, and the Calamari from the feed for one was divine… but I must have had a dud steak Burger (it came with two pieces of steak one was tender the other was super chewy) but overall a great feed, at a great price.
This is a small takeaway with limited bar/counter style seating. We visited on a Saturday lunch and grabbed one of the outside “tables” and order:
* 2 barra pack, $18.50 – 2 barramundi, 6 calamari rings, small chips
* snapper, $8.50
* coleslaw (regular), $5.90
All fish comes crumbed by default, and battered or grilled upon request (grilled is 50c extra). We got one of the barra battered and the remaining fish crumbed. Both options were good but I think the crumbed edges out the battered as being very good (nice crunchiness) vs ok good (decent but I’ve had better).
The fish pieces were all cooked well and made for good eating. The rest of the food was all done pretty well too – calamari nice and tender, chips fairly yellow looking but moreish once you start eating, and the coleslaw provided a semblance of health to complement all the fried stuff. Didn’t even miss having some tartare sauce (available at extra cost) all that much. Basically I feel like I’ve found my new local go-to spot for fish and chips 👍
There are burgers on the menu too, priced like it’s the last century! I’ve heard they’re pretty decent so will be back to try them later.
Well, well, well, where do I even begin with this place’s fish and chips? Let’s just say, they’re absolutely fantastic!
From the first bite, I knew I was in for a treat. The batter was crispy and golden, while the fish inside was moist and perfectly cooked. And don’t even get me started on the chips! They were just the right amount of saltiness and crunchiness.
If you’re in the mood for some amazing fish and chips, do yourself a favour and swim on over to this place. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you! 👍🏻
2 cod set comes with 6 calamaris and chips. It value deal. The staff are nice and friendly. The battered fish cooked well said by my husband. Not oily and freshly made by order. The surprised me thing is served with both lemon and lime. We are so lucky finished before 3pm,then is the peak for the students.
Decided to have Fish and Chips – the family had food from here before. We had three Cod with chips, and that comes with salad. Nicely packed on a platter and the crumbed fish very tasty. There is nothing to complain about the food. Greeting the customer or a friendly smile is absent. Rather very rude – would not go back. Just saying, “I be with you in a minute – please or thank you,” would be appropriate. There are no excuses for that – regardless of how busy you are or the owner of the place. Taking the orders – doing the cooking – and letting other customers stand around until you ready to take the next order – get another staff! A course of customer service might be a good idea. Also, the parking is a nightmare.
First time here at Salt & Lemon sea food takeaway. First impressions are good!! The place looks very tidy and clean, closer inspection shows exactly that.
I ordered a piece of crumbed Cod, serve of chips for one and 2 house made potato scallops. All of which was cooked separately and too perfection. Lightly seasoned with plain salt, all was above expectations. I’ll definitely be back !!
Everything is very well cooked, chips are so crispy and the crumbed fish is perfect every time. Also, tried the steak burger and the fish burger, both were delicious. Well priced and everything is kept clean

Highly recommend the prawn burger and chippps🦐🍟
I’ll definitely be coming back to try more🙋🏻♀️
