Fresh and tasty fish and chips! Fish was on the more generously sized side, both crumbed and battered were perfectly light and crispy. The shop itself is clean and tidy, and the owners are very friendly. Recommend giving this spot a go!
This place has the most amazing fish n’ chips in Brisbane! Everything was high quality, delicious, and great value for your money. The owner is kind, welcoming, and truly passionate about his customers experience. We truly cannot wait for our next Fish Food experience!
Fish was so yum. The skin was thin and crispy. The woman was friendly. Got the two person meal thing. The whole thing was huge. I loved the calamari and the pineapple fritters.
Maybe we came on a bad day, but everything we ordered tasted dreadful. The oil it was cooked in was bitter and dirty tasting, which affected everything. The fish was cooked well, service was lovely and portions were generous, but we really couldn’t get past the taste. even the chips were inedible.
We visited fish food in Sherwood on the 22nd of December to get a meal of fish and chips and calamari rings. The fish serving was very generous and the chips were beautiful. We took the meal away to the Oxley common where we had a table to ourselves later on in the afternoon. We enjoyed the fish and chips very much. I can’t complain about anything. I will be going back to fish food again.
Pretty average fish and chips. They are meant to open at 10am, Arrived at 10:30am and they were still not open. Were told to wait 10 minutes for food to be ready it took almost 30 minutes. Chips were overcooked, the size difference on the cod between my crumbed and my partners battered was baffling and the prices were steep. $46 for 2 pieces cod, 3 nuggets, a large chips and 2 cans of drink. Wouldnt come back
Nice but won’t visit again. Ordered the seafood basket for one. Happy that everything was crumbed as not a fan of batter. The fish items were well cooked and very tasty but they really need to up their chips portion for this meal. Literally had 20 chips, very miserly. An establishment in the next suburb over gives a 1/3 more of a meal for the same price so I’ll be going back there in the future.
Hardly any chips for $8… chips cost nothing, I know it’s where you make your profit…but at least have generous servings. Fish Aisle up the road is so much better. Won’t be returning to Fish Food. Disappointed!!
