Staff are lovely and promt with service.
Just sad that the Country Fried Chicken “chunks” are about a third of the size they used to be… smaller than a McDonald’s nugget now. They used to be great big juicy chunks which is the only reason I came out here. They still look big on the sign though (which is actually how big they used to be).
Placing an order over the phone was nice and easy.
Chips were below average as they were very limp. Fish batter was nice and crispy but the fish was overcooked. Calamari rings and seafood sticks were decent.
Side salad consisted of sliced iceberg lettuce, grated carrot, 2x slices of Tommy and some mayo.
Overall not to bad, but not great.
$32.40 for basket for 2 and salad.
Ordered via phone and was able to pick it up 5-10mins later. Good fish n chips
First time trying this place. Worst prawn cutlets we have ever tasted. All 15 country fried chicken were burnt and dry! Definitely do not recommend this place!
Regularly get our Friday night F&C from here, despite my wife’s reluctance. Last week I got the grilled Barramundi. Got home, it smelt rank and tasted worse. Obviously off. Couldn’t and wouldn’t eat it. So tonight we go there, told them, asked if I could get a free bit of fish considering I couldn’t eat last weeks but was told no, it was too long ago! A week! So we walked. Went to Noah’s ark fish & chip shop instead and they will now be getting our custom from now on. Highly recommend that you stay away from this place that needs a visit from the health standards agency who may be hearing from me actually.
Fishy but nice? Fishy not nice!
So this is my usual, well it was. I won’t be going back. I ordered the T-Bone special, medium rare. And when I got home I do not know what it was that I had been given. A flat fatty chewy piece of steak. No idea what it was but it certainly was not a t-bone. Talk about misadvertising T-Bone is actually in the name! This didn’t even have a bone and it was certainly not from a t-bone. Really disappointed and do not trust.
Just collected a large order, it’s my daughters birthday. When I picked it up I put it in my car but there didn’t seem to be enough food, so went back to the counter and checked with the girl on the counter if everything was in the box (didn’t want to tesr open the paper so it didn’t go cold). I’ve gotten home to find an entire family chips and 4 pieces of chicken missing. So disappointed as it was the birthday girl who’d ordered the chicken. Can’t call or go back as now closed 😕 The food here is usually so good, but this is so upsetting.
Honestly for all my kiwis coming from Nz this place doesn’t disappoint. Fresh everytime I’ve come here for the last 3 years. Beats Noah’s ark and Hangi Pit. Clean oil and food. Definetly reminds me of back home if not better! 10/10 💯
