About
Trinity Beach Kebab House is a casual fish and chip shop and kebab venue in Trinity Beach, Queensland, serving lunch, dinner, and breakfast and brunch through dine-in, takeaway, and delivery. The menu covers the classic fish and chips territory alongside kebabs, with a salad bar and vegetarian options rounding out a broader offering than most suburban chippies. Halal food is available, and the shop welcomes families with a kids menu, groups, tourists, and university students. There is free parking and wheelchair access, and dogs are allowed outside.
Reviews from regulars paint a mixed picture. Some visitors praise the friendly service and well-packaged orders, while others have flagged inconsistency in the fish and chips, noting that batter crispiness and portion sizes have varied across visits. Chips draw more positive comments when they hit the mark, and the range of options keeps the venue popular with a wide cross-section of the Trinity Beach community.
For anyone after a relaxed meal with a bit more variety than a standard fish and chip shop, the combination of kebabs, salad bar, and halal-certified food makes it a practical choice in the area. Check current hours before heading in, as the kitchen covers multiple meal periods across the day.

What can you say about this little hidden gem!
It doesn’t take much to provide good customer service and you can tell from the moment you are greeted to having your neatly packaged food order walked out of the shop to where we were standing outside that this owner and his staff care about their business and customers.
I cheekily asked how was the food was as the shop smelled amazing and he said with a knowing smile “it’s good mate”. I would have been ok with mediocre food given the great service but the chips are probably the best I have ever had from a take away – anywhere. Everything was cooked to perfection and the slightly golden colour that they add to the batter is very cool. The kids loved it!
Fat, thick crunchy chips. Perfect dim sims and thick crunchy potato scallops. This is all we ordered today, so while we are here in Trinity we will be going back to try the kebabs.
You won’t be disappointed coming to this shop.
Read the previous reviews and noticed that reviews started to go down after the owners have changed, should of taken note and tried somewhere else.
The meat is processed meat as you can tell in the image below, can’t order lamb by itself as they only do beef and lamb together(doner) and chicken.
When we got there the meat was turned off and wrapped up, I asked if they are still making food where I was told they still were as they have the meat already cut in a warm container.
I ordered the mix plate which was $19.50 When I got my meal the meat was very mushy and basically no tabouli, looks like they just sprinkled a pinch on the top. Meal basically consisted of half a box of lettuce as can view in images attached also.
For next to $20 I expected better, threw more than half the box out.
Would not recommend trying this and if you do hope you have a better experience than I had.
I never been so disappointed with a fish and chips. in my life, I ordered 3 fish and chips and they guy who attended me told me that for 3 dollars more I could buy a much larger fish, so I decided to just order two large fish, of course more than I ordered and told me to pay 3 dollars more for a bigger size of fish and I have never seen a fish that looks like a sheet of paper, it was the size of my hand, dripping with oil. When I received my order, there were no chips and only 3 pieces of fish that looked like a sheet of paper because they were so thin, reading other comments I realized that it was their tactic, I’m not the first one who has experienced this. I still can’t believe how they ripped me off like that. I went back to complain and he pretended nothing happened and didn’t give me the right fish, do yourself a favor and look for a place with honest people. Worse place in Cairns
The fish and chips were poorly presented. had no tartar and tomato sauce, no cutlery, no tissues, only small pice of lemon and I had freshly fried and the batter was soggy, but thin batter was fine, the chips were also soggy and both had too much salt.
The kebab is good, the amount of meat was generous, and the wrap was crispy and tasty. The only small thing was the lack of vegetables compared to other kebab shops.
Chips are good and crunchy. Fish was okay little small then normal but the works dont speak English well when you need to repeat eveything multiple times there is a problem.
Not sure if the staff are wearing g a translator or ear buds with music but poor look to the public.
This used to have the best fish and chips and was our favourite but the last two times the standard has dropped quite a bit. The fish is smaller and the batter has changed, it is not as puffed and crunchy. The chips are awful now. The worst chippy chips I have had for a while. They are obviously frozen oven chips that they have thrown into the fryer and are just mashed potato with a coating on. Plus the portion size is less now but the same price.
They used to be the best and our go to chippy for over 5 years but no longer. We are searching for another now. Very saddened and disappointed.
This used to be our favourite take away kebab shop in Cairns for years. The grilled fish and donor kebabs were always our favourite with great quality fish and meat. We ordered the same meals tonight and couldn’t believe the decline in quality. We were so disappointed. The grilled barramundi (I question whether it was actually barramundi) was small and overcooked. Both kebabs were very light on filling. Not sure if the shop is under new ownership? I don’t think we will return and try again.
The absolute WORST kebab I’ve ever eaten. I ordered a Doner kebab with Yogurt & Garlic and a Chicken Kebab. The Lamb & Beef filling was NOT REAL roast meats, instead a heavily processed meat, something akin to Devon is the best thing I could describe the meat as. Equally as disgusting was the Chicken kebab. Again, the chicken was not fresh chicken, but a weird pre-cooked parody of chicken was served.
I’ll NEVER RETURN TO THIS KEBAB SHOP!
