Our first visit and the fish and chips meal is good. Price wise is quite good.
Tried a fisherman’s basket for 1, $17.50. There was less fish than I was expecting, and the chips fairly yellow though overall crunch still there for all the items and taste is decent. Still, I probably wouldn’t go out of way to get it again and just stick to our preferred fish and chippery.
Also this was supposed to include sauce but there was none in our pack – only realised this after getting home.
Ordered the sea perch pack and everything in there was nice. Came with six calamari rings, chips, two sea perch, lemons and a tub of tartare sauce. I got the sea perch battered, and it was delicious. The sea perch melted in my mouth. The chips were nicely seasoned and the calamari were tender. The sauce was a bit chunky? It wasn’t the usually consistency Im use to. However it was a good meal!
Great food, love the chips and calamari, good prices for an old school the lot burger. Food is ready pretty quickly. Always enjoy it!
The downside is the customer service is very poor, have never seen the staff smile or have any enthusiasm when serving customers…. A smile and friendliness could really go along way in making a successful business!
This place is hands down amazing. Been coming here for years, unfortunately moved to the Northside so it had been a long time since I’d eaten here. Popped in to grab some lunch instantly my partner and I were recognised by the owners which was a lovely surprise. Not only are they lovely and friendly but their food is delicious. Their burgers are extremely tasty, and one of the best in Brisbane. And I’ve yet to have a potato scallop that even comes close in quality to theirs. Nice and crispy on the outside but soft and delicious on the inside. Honestly could rave about this place forever. Definitely worth the drive, looking forward to coming back soon! Thank you – we miss your burgers!!!! 🙂
One of the only places in Brisbane that still makes a decent potato scallop (with heaps of batter) 😀 Everything is great and the prices are some of the lowest for any fish and chips shop in Brissy! I’ll keep coming back here!
The food itself was fine, but the prices are outrageous for a fish n chip shop. The portions were small, especially for the cost, and it simply isn’t worth the money. I left feeling ripped off and won’t be coming back.
Two bites into my hamburger and wow, yum! One of the best hamburgers I’ve had. Juicy beef patty, crispy onions. Delicious!
