Sea Fuel is hands down the best fish & chips spot! Fresh, perfectly cooked fish every time. Their Greek salad and sweet potato chips are a game-changer. Great value family platters that never disappoint. Been coming here for 10 years and still love it! Highly recommend!
Did take away several times and the food is still very good and crispy when I got home. Greek salad is fresh and I love their seafood platter the most. Plan to come back for dine in as they got good vibe as well !
First time here, loved the portion, it was huge, I couldn’t even finish it. The bay bugs were bussin
The environment was a bit noisy and cramped, tho, I could barely hear my friend. Lots of customers were clustered in one area, while other parts of the shop were empty

Gave this place another try after I noticed they have been advertising more and increased their prices — bad idea.
Got the grilled red emperor meal. Portion was good but it had to be considering the price. And that’s it. It was downhill from there.
The fish fillet was slimy, rubbery, and BLAND. Definitely not fresh. The fish skin was also rubbery and not fully rendered. Such a shame for such a beautiful fish.
Chips tasted like the most basic reconstituted kebabshop chips.
Greek salad: I only ate the cucumbers and onions as the tomatoes, which composed the majority of the salad, were clearly not fresh. There was one thin 3cm piece of feta for the whole salad. Shame.
This is not what I expect from a restaurant. Especially one that has been open in west end for so long. I was honestly hoping that with their recent price raises this would improve the quality and we would finally have a good fish spot in west end. No no no. Such a shame.
Second time here and I’ll definitely be back. The food is very good, fresh ingredients and well presented. My only bugbear is the price of soft drinks: $6 for a can of Coke 😭 Surely that could be better. I refuse to pay $24 for four cans of drink.
Greasy slop.
I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. We ordered the seafood platter and were served a mountain of chips topped with greasy, soggy crumbed seafood. All cooked for the same time, the cod was completely overcooked while the prawns just cooked enough to eat. You can see the unevenly coated and completely overcooked greasy baby octopus in the photo (appalling). The Greek salad was some unevenly and thickly cut cucumber, tomato, onion topped with a thick creamy dressing; overall offensively flavourless and unbothered.
I am seriously struggling to wrap my head around how this place has 4.5 stars. The food was far from good and I truly cannot think of one redeeming quality. I would give this place a miss if you value your tastebuds.
Fantastic little seafood place, the food is incredible, prices are very reasonable and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Some of the best seafood we’ve had in a while. We will be back … with friends!
P.S. you have to try the panko crumbed halloumi!!!!
Absolutely nothing positive to say about the food or service. There were only a couple of tables dining when we ordered, yet drinks still took 15 minutes to arrive, with one somehow managing to be wrong.
The mains and a halloumi “starter” came out together (because who needs courses?), minus any dipping sauce. One of the mains was also incorrect. The second starter, oysters Kilpatrick came out a leisurely 10 minutes after the mains, having been grilled into submission under what tasted remarkably like Woolworths BBQ sauce. The result was oysters tougher than a boiled mussel.
For the price, it’s an experience I won’t be repeating.
