The fish was red emporer..yum yum yum. I had it grilled and my sister crumbed. We also had absolutely delicious potato scallops, sea scallops and chicken wedges. Well priced..around $50 with two fans of soft drink. Service was very fast. We took it back to our apartment and everything was nice and hot. Highly recommend!
Been coming here since a child. Still equally as delicious & great atmosphere opposite the beach! Best fish and chips in Oz!
Great service, delicious fish and chips. Little light on chicken salt when we asked for extra!
Seems to be miss and hit. Last weekend the chips were to die for and well cooked. Today they went in the bin. They were not cooked properly, some were even still hard in the middle and were soggy. It’s a shame cause the chips last weekend were amazing.
Great service and that’s the only good thing to say. The chips were over cooked as was all of the seafood. The calamari had a weird taste. Everything looked like it was from a box from the freezer. Nothing looked or tasted fresh.
Ordered fish and chips. My daughter was happy with her order although they forgot to give us the pineapple fritters and we had to return to pick them up. The burger on the other hand… As soon at I picked it up the whole bun fell apart. Not fresh at all. The burger and it’s contents virtually was no longer a burger but a pile of meat and salad and crunched bread pieces. And way to much sauce. Did not attempt to eat it. Very disappointed.
We’ve had fish & chips three times whilst on our current holiday in Yeppoon and this was by far the worst! I feel like I spent $40 on just crunchy batter with next to no fish, potato scallops or calamari. I mean, how can a fish & chip shop be crap at even potato scallops – the sliver of potato buried in a tonne of batter wasn’t even cooked. Don’t even get me started on the rest. Really poor – would’ve expected better for somewhere in a prime oceanfront setting in a prime location.
Unfortunately our regular fish and chip place was closed so we thought we would give this place another go. It wasn’t good. The oil from my hubby’s battered fish literally ran down his arm. We were also left with a fatty awful taste in our mouths. Will definitely not go back.
