You definitely won’t be disappointed in buying your favorite Fish and chips here..
They have a wonderful selection of Australian owned Riviera drinks .
Clean and well presented takeaway or dine in shop..
We asked for well done crispy chips and done to perfection and the fish 🐠 also cooked well in beer batter.
They have meal packs and drinks special to that won’t break your budget..
Highly recommend.
We had an awesome fish and chips experience in Australia! Tried the butter fish and garfish – both were fantastic! The fish had a crispy outside and a juicy inside with the perfect batter. Shared a cone of chips; a bit salty but still tasty. 🐟🍟
We ordered 2 pieces of grilled Flake ( at $9 each) and a small serve of chips. The fish was the worst I have ever had. Still not sure how it was cooked but it definitely wasn’t grilled. It was very dry, rubbery, thin and had no taste to it. The colour of it was a weird greyish brown and it was totally inedible. The chips were okay, nothing special at all and way too salty.
The most disappointing meal I have ever had. How they even get a 3.9 rating is a mystery.
In the tourist precinct of Victor Harbor, the food we received was an embarrassment. My hubby ordered a fish pack which included fish, calamari, scallop and a cone of chips. My order was a piece of butterfish and a small chips. Cost over $25. Well my picture says it all. One small paper wrapped parcel handed to my husband with the statement that it was in together. What a greasy mess!! Definitely not what we were expecting and definitely not a depiction of chips sizing or food on display. Staff were neither interested or enthused about their jobs which was also obvious by the time it took to produce our order along with others waiting. As a result, this is the worst fish and chip shop on the Fleurieu and the beautiful Victor Harbor deserves better. Don’t waste money here better food on offer elsewhere !!🤮
I’ve always heard about AB Packs but never actually tried one… until now – and J F & C Fish & Chips absolutely delivered! Their AB Pack (lamb & chicken combo) was really good and great value at $16. It’s packed with flavour and the chips are perfect. While personally, I would probably prefer a hot chilli sauce instead of sweet chilli for my next one, this was a fantastic introduction.
I also tried their chicken schnitzel pack the other night, and that was really good as well!
The staff here are consistently friendly and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend this place for a great meal at a fair price
I am coeliac and these guys have gluten free coeliac safe fish and chips! Almost everything on the menu is gluten free, and the chips were so delicious! The food wasn’t oily or greasey, and I didn’t feel heavy after having the meal either, the staff were also very helpful and understanding of coeliac needs. So stoked to find this in Victor, highly recommend!!!
Worst fish and chip shop, staff were so rude to my grandparents who have lived in victor their entire lives. They ordered dinner before 6.30pm in hopes to dine in before they close, food didn’t come out until after 7pm and they were told to grab their food and leave because they couldn’t dine in now. They watched them set their table up to dine in and didn’t bother to tell them they wouldn’t be able to. The service was so bad, would not recommend this place. So disappointing.
Usually my go to for takeaway especially for dinner when I have coeliac disease and can only eat gluten free and this business is one of the incredibly limited options that can cater to that. However tonight my partner was turned away after driving there (for the rare time that we wanted takeaway) an hour before closing time to be told they’re closed. Maybe as a suggestion to somehow advertise this on social media for example if you’re closing early to not waste people’s time? Otherwise please change the trading hours. Just disappointing and quite reluctant to come back because who knows if you’ll be open. Also weird to close early in peak business time for the area.
