Ideally located in Union Rd Ascot Vale, this Fish and Chippery offers a good variety of Take away food.
The Flakes are good sized and the Chips are pretty good and tasty.
I love the fish and chips here! Super classic vibe to the place, always with the cheeky extra potato cake, and that vibrant yellow of the chips 🤤 it’s just a classic! You can’t go wrong. Just get in early cos they do close kinda early, but honestly this is the best fish and chippies in the area ❤️
I cannot stress enough how perfect this fish and chippery is! cooked exactly how it should, fresh ingredient’s, piping hot, made with love every time and beautiful service. I cannot recommend this establishment enough! LOVE LOVE LOVE
do not enjoy giving bad reviews for businesses on here, think its my first one (begrudgingly) but the chips were extremely mid ~ we could not finish them despite being two of us and loving chips ~ and the minimum chips were $8, which seems pretty high price, especially just for a snack. they were also very oily which did not sit well with our tummies.
as well as the minimum chips we also got the vege burger which was flavourless and uninspired (disappointing) ~ it was one of those processed patties from the supermarket with carrot and peas, a little bit of salad and a not-great bun.. pretty awful and sad. gave us a good laugh though, which was a temporary upside. updated to two stars from one, for this fact.
hopefully they can work with some actual vegetarians one day to work out what kind of burger they would like to eat. would be happy to offer my consulting services if they would like to reach out.
we wont be coming back here, but wish them all the best.
If you want fresh fish and extremely tasty burgers, this is the place to find them. The food that is prepared in here will not disappoint you! Whatever you do don’t forget to order your Golden crunchy chips to top off your perfect take away.
Food wasn’t quite synced, with the grilled fish a couple of minutes after the rest.
Grilled fish was nice, battered flake too, chips good but tasted a little stale. Dim sums were really good though, I don’t like them normally but these were good
An easier to read menu in store, especially for meal deals, would be good
I’m not sure where these positive reviews are coming from but please reconsider your next takeout night. This store is FILTHY. If you pop in, take a look at the straw dispenser. 🤢 Old oil, small portions for big dollars and just dirty. Apathetic staff and the cherry on top? If you ask for vinegar on your chips they SPRAY THEM. Yes, with a spray bottle. Last time I looked there is no shortage of vinegar, so for the love of, stop it. Hoping for a change of ownership because this shop needs some major TLC.
Decent local fish and chips. Flake was high quality and batter was crispy and thin. Thin slice of fish but quality made up for that.
Chips were solid
Potato cake was mid. Batter was too thick.
Dim sum was standard fish and chips which is good.
Hamburger with the lot was what you would expect. Nothing fancy but good.
Service was average but don’t really need much more than just good food.
