Hunky Dory lives up to its name in providing a consistent positive experience every time. The staff were warm and welcoming.
My partner and I got the grilled fish bowl and fish of the day pack. The fish was fresh and delicious. The presentation was great too. I’d say that the fish bowls are of more value given the assortment of ingredients and healthy sides.
I’ve eaten here a few times. You can always get a great piece of grilled fish and salad here. There is a large menu. They also have regular specials like this burrito. I’ve always liked the food. You can pay at the counter and then food arrives. It is usually pretty quick. I like it and always return and recommend
We’ve been loyal customers for years, but today was very disappointing. My wife and I ordered the same fish meal one was fine, the other was clearly off. When we raised it, the manager made us feel like it was our fault and reluctantly offered a cheaper fish instead.
We asked for the same value replacement ($32.50), but what arrived was a tiny portion that left us hungry and unhappy.
What the owner and management may not realise is that when a loyal customer leaves unhappy, they don’t return — and they no longer recommend the restaurant to others. Hopefully this feedback encourages a better approach to customer care in the future.
Had a fantastic piece of fried flake with a light, crispy batter, and the service was genuinely lovely. Even on a rainy Monday, the atmosphere was welcoming. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and a relaxed night out.

I dined in on Tuesday night with my family and was genuinely impressed by the quality of the freshly cooked food and the service. From the we moment walked in, the staff were warm, attentive, and professional. We were greeted promptly and seated without delay, and the team made sure I felt welcome throughout our visit.
Despite the restaurant being busy, the service remained consistent and smooth. Food came out fast.
