What’s the difference of this fish and chips to others is the crunchiness. The batter used is nice and crunchy, its nice.
They are cash only but the lady in the counter is nice enough to take my order eventhough I have to go back to the car to get some cash. A little bit of wait for the order. Please mellow down in putting salt in the chips, it gets salty 😳😳
We just had possibly the worst fish and chips we have ever had. Chicken croquettes were burnt, chips were poorly cooked and so was everything else. This place used to be awesome but it looks like the care for the food has dropped significantly.
Food is sub-par, barely edible to be honest It was all burnt to a crisp and the hamburger was sloppy and fell apart. It is a shame because it used to be a really good fishand chip shop but they have just dropped their service. It is also a cash only business. Plenty of other options in the area, never again!
CASH ONLY!! First time ordering and was not informed over the phone. They have an ATM inside which charges a $2.50 fee.
Staff also tried to charge us for the wrong meal after telling the same person our order number 2 minutes earlier.
Food was ok and ready quickly but have had better elsewhere.
Fish and chips located in Dorset Square. There are a few to choose from in Boronia and surrounds. Captain gummys usually has nice fresh food cooked just right in a clean and well laid out establishment but lately their not as good I’ve noticed.
They are very friendly and efficient, ring your order through or just rock up and get your number, all done very orderly. They even have hot Donuts, yum.
They are closed Mondays like most places but there the rest of the time. Tables and chairs are there if you want to eat inside or out.
They like cash only, offer gluten free at extra cost and their prices are really getting very expensive overall.
Souvlaki better elsewhere.

We had an uber eats/packing error and captain gummies was amazing in dealing with it and went above and beyond to rectify!
We always have delicious, fresh food when we go there and would rather go here than anyone else!
Been a customer for over 10+ years and over the last year service has been terrible to the point the last 3 orders have been messed up, so I ask for a refund and the manager is there smirking thinking it’s funny. While he has always been quite rude this is just disgusting service.
Firstly, what sort of TAX DODGE is this CASH ONLY business? Surely that’s not legal.
I ordered a burger combo (can & burger $15). Charged for a Schnitzel Burger $15.50. My friend had the lunch pack.
Lunch pack was huge (enough for 2 or 3 people). It was bland. My burger was really terrible. Overcooked deep fried Schnitzel, chopped in half & piled up too high to eat. The bread was soggy and the whole burger was flavourless. Super greasy food and no serviettes.
Don’t waste yout time.
