I absolutely love this place! The fish and chips are always fresh, crispy, and delicious. The portions are generous, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. It’s my go-to spot for a tasty meal.
Ordered and food was worth the wait!!
Flavoursome, incredible, and just good in every way!!
Absolutely perfect 👌, not oily, tastes great and beautiful friendly service. The store so is clean even through peak hour service. You will get your monies worth of food that’s for sure.👍
Great price all round!
I’ve been living in the area for sometime and this is the best fish and chips I’ve had! The staff are always lovely and genuine people. I simply would not go anywhere else.
I haven’t been back to this fish & chip shop for years because back then it was terrible, ingredients were not fresh and staff gave off the weirdest vibes, the oldies at the back looking like they’re hating life and that lady taking orders at the front who would make things so awkward with strange mannerisms & staring. ANYWAY I noticed that that the shop has since had a makeover and looks nicer, inviting and had a positive overhaul. Unfortunately, the food we ordered that day was not good, my husband actually got the food takeaway but upon looking at what we had it was clear that there was a lack of care with the cooking, one of the dim sims look like it had exploded looked inside out but it was BLACK! Like it was fried multiple times to the point it was hard as a rock and could barely be cut by a knife, how it made its way to the table of a paying customer is beyond a joke, the burger with the lot was quite sloppy, and subpar as were the unappealing texture of the chips. Everything just felt thrown together. Not sure if staff that shift were new, struggling or under the pump but it was disappointing enough not to go again.
Every time I’ve gone here the attitude has been the same. If you walk in and only order one or two things, they look at you like you’ve personally ruined their day. Order a potato cake and a dim sim and you’d think they had to open the whole shop just to serve you.
The eye-rolling and obvious annoyance is honestly embarrassing. And yes, charging $1 for sauce separately is completely fine when you’ve ordered a big meal, but saying “you’re doing me a favour this time” for putting a tiny bit sauce on a $1.50 potato cake? Relax.. It’s a fish and chip shop, not a 5 star restaurant.. you’re honestly embarrassing.
If small orders annoy you that much, maybe don’t sell individual items. There are plenty of other places nearby that don’t make customers feel like a problem for simply ordering food. Appalling behaviour.
It’s been years since I have tasted fish n chips as good as these…. Absolutely delicious.. it was worth the drive from craigieburn.
My 5 stars goes to CAROL as MVP! Impeccable service and beautiful smile, I would be giving her a RAISE.
