About
Abz Pizza and Fish N Chips sits on the main strip in Koo Wee Rup and draws a steady crowd from the local area and passing travellers alike. The shop combines two crowd-pleasers under one roof, with a menu that runs from classic fish and chips through to pizzas, souvlaki, burgers, chicken parmigiana, and pasta. It’s a broader spread than most fish and chip shops in the region, and the pasta menu in particular offers a solid range of options.
The pizzas are the clear highlight here. Regulars rave about the light, crispy bases and well-seasoned toppings, and first-time visitors frequently say they’ll be back. The shop is well-regarded overall, with a solid four-plus star reputation built on a healthy number of reviews. That said, a few regulars have noted inconsistencies worth keeping in mind, particularly around portion sizes, so it pays to check your order before heading off.
Dine-in, takeaway, and delivery are all available, and the venue is family-friendly with a kids’ menu on offer. Vegetarian options are catered for, and the shop features wheelchair-accessible parking and entrance, along with free parking on site. No reservations are taken, so walk-ins are the norm. The shop opens for dinner service from the late afternoon and is a practical option for groups, families, or anyone passing through Koo Wee Rup looking for a relaxed meal.

My first visit won’t be my last. I’ve driven past this place too many times.
This place is very popular with the locals, who I saw coming & going as I ate in my car, which is great recommendation.
The pizza base was so light, crisp outside & very light inside. Toppings were very generous, moist & so delicious.
Service was polite, friendly, efficient & they have an extensive menu.
I had takeaway, but there was also some seating inside.
Parking outside is easy on the street.
This is definitely worth a visit & I’ll be back.
Pizza was good. But the 2 souvlakis we brought were not great. When picking it up the wrap felt like it was filled with jam and bent over like a rubber band. Once opened was clear the problem was the sauce it was drowned and the tiny bit of meat and lettuce was swimming in the wrap. Also hygiene is a big thing and not using gloves at the burger station when preparing food is off putting. First and last time I will go here.
Went to get some chips and some dim sims and a spring roll. They came out burnt and overcooked. Took them back to ask if this was acceptable and was told by the owner that’s how it’s always cooked. I’ve had a few spring rolls and seen them cooked by other places and are no where near this colour. The owner was rude when confronted and would not admit anything was wrong. Stick to pizza…..
Poor quality and an absolute rip off!
Apparently $5 of chips there, very average and dry. Staff are rude
Pizza was always decent, never complained when it was maybe a little overdone.
Ordered two large and was given one large & one medium, still charged for two large. Not the type to make a scene in store about it but have lost my business as a result.
Haven’t been back since and won’t ever go back.
Worst pizzas in the region. Do yourself a favour and drive the 15 mins to Lang Lang or just wait a little longer for delivery and get Papa Dons Pizza. Pizzas were cold in spots and raw egg, not cut properly, dry no where near enough sauce and ingredients are horrid and drinks not refrigerated. Worst $70 ever spent. You would think just by sheer amount of time new owners have been here it would have gotten better but Wowee it’s worse. Avoid if at all possible.
Abz is genuinely a really good place the pizza is beautifully cooked and flavoured well. The pasta menu is also really great and has a lot of options to choose from. Overall 10/10
Ordered a medium pizza for my son and a grilled flake and 3 steamed dim sims for myself. Flake was the smallest piece of fish I’ve ever seen and tasted very dry (not worth the $7.50 i paid for it), the dim sims were drowning in soy sauce and by the time we got home (2 minutes away from the shop), the paper bag was soaked with soy sauce because they hadn’t knotted the freezer bag inside properly. Son said pizza was ok but not the best he has had. Seems this place has really gone down hill since the previous owners left. Won’t be going back. Very disappointing 😞
