If I could rate this 0/5 I would!!!
I’ve never seen batter as thick as this in my life, not to mention it’s raw and soggy…
Flake is definitely not gummy shark.
$3 for scallops and to receive these tiny chewy discussing things that are a quarter of the size of the massive batter wrapped around them is so sad.
Only thing that is good are the chips and I believe that is because they come frozen so they can’t batter them. Hands down worst fish and chips ever. Very disappointing!!
Food is very good especially the fried dim sims and scallops. I’ve been to a lot of different fish and chips shops and this one stands out from the rest. I am looking forward to going back.
$2 each for Potato cakes the size of a post it note. I don’t expect them to be small pizza size but seriously. Totally disappointed. Shall not be returning.
this is all i ordered and im very disappointed. my sausage in batter was soggy and you could bend it. it was so undercooked then my sims are that over cooked i feel like im going to break a tooth and there so dark brown. also the service was not the best very rushed. i also asked for extras chicken salt and he just dumped it all on top of everything. this was discussing. very disappointing in the person making the food.
I wanted a bit of soy sauce with my dim sim, not a bit of dim sim with my soy sauce.
The worst steamed dimmies I’ve ever had.
If I could give negative stars I would.
Ok so we’ve been getting takeaway from here for a few years on a Friday and I’ve NVEVER been let down! After visiting for the first time I now know why – every item in the fryer has a timer, so your flake is cooked perfectly every time. They clearly change their oil regularly too.
I would rank this better than all my local dish and chip shops in Toorak, South Yarra and Prahran, and would call it the best fried flake in Melbourne hands down!!!
If you’re from out of town or even heading away to places like Philip Island for example, take a 2minute detour to try this place out! It’s fricking amazing!!!
The chips are soooo good, staff are super friendly. Food is always consistent and very nice! Highly recommended.
Great local fish & chips shop. Food is always fresh and cooked perfectly. The owner is super friendly and makes you feel welcome. 5 stars!
